Chef Master Commercial Heavy Duty Can Opener, Anti-Slip, Manual Hand Crank

This can opener works like a dream. The extra long arm makes cutting open cans a breeze. Easy to use and doesnt take a lot of strength to turn the crank. Very smooth cutting. Ideal for those with difficulty gripping and turning traditional can openers. It is larger than the usual manual can opener and has some weight to it. It will stand the test of time.

We purchased this Chef Master commercial can opener for use in a mobile BBQ catering operation after repeatedly burning through cheaper can openers during busy events. Before switching to this one, we had literally gone through multiple openers in a single event trying to keep up with large cans used for ingredients and prep work. This unit has been a completely different experience. The heavy-duty construction is immediately noticeable compared to standard kitchen-grade openers. It cuts through large cans quickly and smoothly without binding, flexing, or requiring excessive force. During high-volume food prep, speed matters, and this opener is noticeably faster and more reliable than the consumer models we previously used. The anti-slip handles also help maintain a secure grip even when moving quickly during service prep. What impressed us most is the consistency under repeated use. Instead of gradually struggling or dulling almost immediately, this one has handled commercial-style workloads without feeling like it’s about to fail. For anyone operating a food trailer, catering setup, concession stand, or any environment where large cans are opened constantly, this feels like an actual commercial tool rather than a household opener marketed as “heavy duty.”

If you are over 60 years old, then this is a MUST puy item. The large knob is soft and very big, making it supper easy to use.

Bought it to open #10 cans at work. I use it everyday, multiple times a day (sometimes upwards of 10 cans), so I would call it pretty heavy use. At first, it was nearly perfect. Easy to use, didn't leave metal shavings or jagged edges. The blade stayed fairly clean and was easy to wash when it didn't. It did chew up labels because of the design of the bottle opener part at the bottom, but I was willing to tolerate that. Unfortunately, it did not last. It has failed in a few different ways all due to bad materials or design and it is essentially unusable now. 1. After about 2 months it started to only cut the can if I held it at certain angles. I figured out that the bolt that holds the blade wheel on had partially stripped its self and was allowing the blade to slide around a bit. I muscled the bolt off and then simply super glued in the correct place. I muddled through another month. 2. While I was doing this repair work, I noticed that the post that held the wheel looked crooked. This has worsened since then and means that the blade is not pressed as tightly against the can as it needs to be. I guess the metal just isn't heavy duty enough to stand up to cans. 3. Now, the gears have stopped engaging reliably. It looks like maybe the post has bent and the teeth have worn just enough that they only touch when you recite an ancient incantation and spin around three times. Now, it leaves unopened segments that I have to fight with. Tldr; I love the style of opener, but this one falls apart within a few months. I'm planning to replace it with a similar crank style one from a different brand that's hopefully a bit more durable. You probably want to do the same.

I use #10 cans all the time for our business and I have bought soooo many "electric" can openers...many have been returned or stopped working after only a few cans....OR were never meant to be 'heavy duty' as advertised. I caved and went back to a manual style. WOW.....there are not enough words to tell you how AMAZING this unit is. Between the commercial style cans and my arthritis this unit is a blessing loooong overdue. I rent a kitchen and do not have the availability to 'mount' a commercial unit to the table. I could not be happier !! and my hands do not hurt and I can get all the way around so quickly I don't even realize its done !! LOVE IT

I was super excited to use this to open the cans of chili and cheese at our sport concession stand, however the first time I used it, one of the gears came apart. I put it back together, and it came apart again. I couldn't find the gear the second time and now I just cannot use it anymore. Was a huge disappointment, and ended up being a waste of money. 9.7.23 update...the company refunded my money and replaced the can opener. They stand to their word and it is much appreciated. I'll be trying out the replacement soon.

Been using hand crank ca openers for years. Considering price & covienence; this is the best. Very durable. I own two. I bought one as a back up... Just in case. The one I have had for awhile is close to ten years old. Still working great.

Strong and very easy to use

Works well. Easy to use but doesn’t always cut right through on all edges so I have to go back and forth to make it work on certain areas . However, for arthritic hands, it’s the easiest way I have found to open a can.

Dos meses de uso y ya no sirve. Lo compré para abrir latas grandes, como esas de tomates de 2 a 3 kg aprox y ya no funciona correctamente. Solo las primeras funcionó bien. Quizás para latitas si les dure más, pero al traer ese mango más largo pensé sería un buen producto para abrir latas más grandes y no funcionó.

Pues no, no abre bien las latas. Lastima.
