Having a little tester to play around definatelly made me alot more patient with waiting for my new board, its a fun fudget toy lol. Its a very solid build.

Works fine
Works fine, good selection of key types. Helped me identify what kind of keys I want now and which I may want to use in the future

Great way to test switches before you buy!
This is a great way to test switches before you buy a keyboard, with a few caveats: 1) Some of the switches in the tester are harder to find in keyboards than others. Good luck finding a mass-produced keyboard with Zealios, MX Greens or MX Clears (some do exist, but they're very difficult to find). 2). To really know what typing on a switch feels like, you need a full board. With the tester, you can only feel one switch. I advise you to go to keyboard meetups if you can. 3). Different keycaps can affect how the switch feels. Varying thicknesses of material, and the material itself can drastically change the way a switch feels to type on. Here's some pros and cons about the tester itself: PROS: 1) Feels well made 2) Great variety of switches, covers common and less common Cherry MX varieties, as well as a 67g Zealio. 3) Fun to play with (i.e. fidget) 4) Great way to learn how certain switches feel CONS: 1) The bottom of the tester has exposed switches, meaning that there are sharp contact points exposed on the bottom 2) A bit pricey for what it is 3) A type of thing you use once and then don't need again

These kinds oot items would be much better if they came with a keycap remover
The only drawback is that I had to get a keycap remover separated to test the rings

It get's the job done.
The keycaps aren't great but the body is sturdy enough. The fact that the bottom is open makes it kinda poky when you hold it though.

Don’t buy
Too expensive for the product. I wish I returned.

A very well thought out product, it comes with all of the mainstream Cherry MX keyswitches so you have the chance to sample them before dropping serious cash on a MKB. Definitely a more sane way to trial different keyswitches than buying the boards themselves (unless money is no object, but for the rest of us mere mortals, this makes more sense). If you get other keyswitches you can easily re-use the existing frame to try those out too, in case your needs are not in the Cherry MX space. The addition of the different styles of o-rings is a very nice touch too, so you can figure out if there's any minor upgrades you would want to do with your impending MKB purchase. My biggest personal gripe is that they include a Zealios 67g keyswitch. These are not easy to come by in Aus and pretty rare in mainstream MKBs, so if you like that one the best out of all the keyswitches (as I do), you are in for a challenging search to sate your MKB needs.

Bought this to determine which of the most common Cherry switches I would prefer, and it has worked exactly as described. The heavy metal frame is nice, and makes the unit a bit more robust. Does what is says on the tin.

This serves no function after the first 20 min of it being delivered, and as such is a massive waste of money
