Great safety cutter. Only one i buy at work.

I had been searching for a box cutter with a safety guard and was excited to finally find this one. It did not disappoint, the staff loves using them. The blade is kept covered by the clear plastic piece and it pushes back easily as it is pressed into the cardboard. Other utility knives that we tried did not and were clumsy to use. Works great to remove the flaps of open cases as well as cutting into the tape that keeps boxes shut. We work in a food service kitchen so they get lots of use.

dangerous product. i cut myself the first time i used it. you must put UP the cover to expose the cutting blade which if you use your hand you wiil meet the cutting black and get cut. yes the instructions say use the box; however the box may bend in and it will not be enough to open the protective cutter head...so you must use your fingers. to close you must use your fingers to click the cover in place. good try a a concept that is used on most all wood saws but in this case its dangerous as you should never have your hand near the blade. also, the cutting depth is to deep and cuts into the product inside if the product is close to the top of the box. its not adjustable. a reall piece of JUNK. danger danger danger! use a standart box cutter and you will be fine.
