NORTH Honeywell 550030M 5500 Series Low Maintenance Half Mask Respirators, Medium, 1' x 1' x 1' Size

This mask fits me very well. It is easy to adjust and is comfortable to ware for long periods. I use in my woodworking shop and it filters out the wood dust well. Also the replacement filters are readily available.

I used to work in an HVAC shop where we were often dealing with fiberglass sheets, so these masks were a must. I spent many days wearing this for hours on end (with the occasional breather) so I knew it was super comfortable and effective.Now that I'm getting my own woodworking shop set up, I went looking for the same mask that I knew would be just right for me.Just as comfortable as I remember, and cheaper than other options as a bonus.Go figure, I found my old mask at my parent's house just days after receiving this one!Never hurts to have two!

Somewhat small for me, but nonetheless fitting snugly on my face, having a P100 filter, and being approved by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), this Honeywell respirator, though unable to remove poisonous gases, has been otherwise perfectly effective in preventing wood smoke, cigarette smoke, automotive exhaust, foul odors, and other offensive, distracting, hazardous, and unpleasant causes of olfactory sensations from reaching my nose and mouth. I found it especially helpful during the Mullen fire and Colorado fires, which produced smoke that shrouded my home almost continuously for five weeks: having fit the mask snugly, I inhaled no smoke and could not smell it at all,--nor could I smell my neighbors' coffee, bacon, food garbage, tobacco smoke, or automotive exhaust. And I continue to enjoy and value the same benefits of this respirator, even during sleep. The quiet clicking of the exhalation valve is no more noticeable than the ticking of an old clock, or than the rhythm of my normal breathing. The head straps are very unlikely to break as long as you don't lift the respirator by them: it's advisable to grasp the respirator itself before you pick it up. This Honeywell respirator is much more effective than my EROCK Half Facepiece Respirator 6200 by 3M Company, and being made of softer plastic, feels more comfortable on my face. To stay safe, I sanitize the respirator with isopropyl alcohol at least three times a day.

Safe for airsoft

Works very well, doesn’t fit as well as the 7700 series but is a great substitute for use in a medical setting. Disposable N95s are hot and difficult to wear for an hour straight and wasteful. I prefer this by far for comfort and security. Needs to be adjusted frequently for fit, cleaned of sweat and is hard to talk in but worth it for the ease of breathing.

Very comfortable and a great price. Compatible cartridges were inexpensive as well.Note: Seems like a great respirator if you are using it for it's normal function - to protect the water. However, there is a simple exit valve so it does not protect others from you if you also wear this in place of a covid face mask. What I've done is added a cloth filter to the exit vent, by cutting from a regular face mask.

This morning I had a small frown upon opening the respirator box to find the filters were not included. Looking back, I believe I even shook a fist in the air. "Curse you!"The other respirators I have purchased have come with the filters, so you must agree with my surprise.For all that is true, I will admit that I did not pay enough attention to the product listing. A slight pinge of denial is persuading me to think "oh..well maybe the seller edited the title listing since the last time you looked!!" 67% (22% believes in personal error, 11% is hungry) of me really does think that the listing did not say 'mask only' when I purchased, but when you read what I have to say next, you will inevitably side with the vendor.This mask is THE most comfortable I have ever worn in my life. I have owned numerous others (3M etc), some reaching cost of $50 or so. So comfortable, in fact, that I forgot I was wearing it and walked out into the hallway to get my packages and unknowingly scare the living bejeezüs out of a passing neighbor. Way to make an impression. *shakes head*If you are in doubt, don't be...just buy this amazing mask, join the ranks and spook a neighbor or two.PS. DONT FORGET TO ADD THE FILTERS IN YOUR PURCHASE!!
