Awesome racquet for intermediates
This racquet is an absolute beauty to play with. I have been playing table tennis for a little over a year now. I am a primarily BH dominant player. Prior to this, played with Stiga Raptor which improved my game drastically. But for some reason, my FH wasn't consistent. After about 10 months playing with Stiga Raptor, purchased this racquet. The obvious difference is in the rubbers, its very very very fast. Started with BH and couldn't land any on the table. But after a week and about 10 hours hitting with this, I think I am getting a hang of this racquet. And my FH has improved significantly and BH has never been faster. This paddle, as it says in description, is for intermediates or advanced players only. Good luck ... 12/19 Update: After another 20 hours of playing, the super tackiness is not there but the rubbers have softened up just a bit and playing even better. The spin is still amazing. It’s fun to try different shots from far off the table (6-8 ft) and still land with decent amount of spin on it. Absolutely love it. 8/11 Update: Continues to be a awesome racquet! Once you control it and with right technique, the FH and BH smashes are unreturnable, spin is very impressive especially on serves which buys me free points (either on serve or setup and 3rd ball attack, loops are decent, topspin is terrific, banana flicks have lots of spin. Overall an awesome racquet that continues to impress.

Good control surface
I play ping pong recreationally, mainly against my sons, once or twice a month and have been playing for over 40 years. I'm decent and appreciate the control a good racket (we call them paddles... I know, amateurs!) can give. My old paddle surfaces had lost their grip and the rubber was kind of smooth and shiny. So I bought these, and what a difference. I'm actually still getting used to them. I'm tending to hit lots of shots off the opposite end of the table since the paddle stickiness causes my opponent's spin to "jump" off my paddle. I can adjust for this by changing my return angle and force, but I've been playing with the old ones for so long it'll take a while to break the habit. I'm also having trouble with one of my "go-to" serves, a forward/side spinner to my opponent's backhand. Instead of the ball going where it's supposed to, the paddle - because of the stickiness - pushes the ball into my non-serving hand. Again, I'll get used to it and know I'll eventually have way more control than I did previously. It's totally worth it, as this is what I was looking for. And I'm really glad they came with cases, as I think that will protect them and keep the surfaces sticky for much longer.

For Loopy, Defensive players this is a decent racket.
For intermediate players, I should know because I am one. I don't take part in local tournaments, but that's because the local scene for Table Tennis isn't that populated.

The rubber is hard and very tacky.
Great for blocking. I clean it with wet palms every 2 weeks. It has been 10 months and the rubber has retained its tackiness. I love this racket, generates a lot of spin. I plan to buy it again once my current one passes 18 months of use.

Very thick foam/rubber on the head
I bought this to replace an old similarly priced Stiga and was surprised at how much thicker the head of this one was. The exact Stiga I replaced doesn't seem to be sold anymore, so I can't compare price 1:1, but Palio seems to be consistently 20% or so less than the equivalent Stiga, and I've so far not really noticed much of a tradeoff. The Stiga had 2 kinds of foam and this appears to only have one, but it's thicker and seems to perform similarly. The rubber is not quite as grippy as I'm used to, but I'm hoping it will get better as I break it in. It's plenty grippy for most casual play, but if you are very spin focused, it might not be enough for you. Trade off is that you probably get a little more speed in exchange. Free carrying case is nice. It could be a nicer material, but the zipper works well and it's rare to see a $55 paddle come with a case, so it's hard to complain about the quality there.

Very good, solid paddle
This paddle is a great value for the money. It has good spin and is made up of replaceable individual parts rather than being all once price like most premade paddles.

This paddle does not live up to it's rep
The third gen version of this paddle is a major step back. The first and second gen were much better. I am going to have to find a replacement paddle. I didn't want to have to build my own paddle but I just may have to now. If you liked their previous paddles, stay away from the third gen ones. They sound funny (sound is important) and the spin and speed just aren't up to snuff. very disappointing. I have purchased over 10 paddles from palio so I am not just spouting nonsense.

Great but not perfect
Good racket. I am not sure whether it is because of this racket or not, but I started to have wrist pain issues. Previously I was using idoraz. Def this is better than Idoraz After 2 months of use, the spin is drastically reduced.

This is a pretty heavy attacking bat, definitely for advanced players, but beginners with some skill should be able to handle this as well. I've been playing at a table tennis union for about a year when i was a kid, I'm much older now, but after a few games, I started to get the feel for the bat. It's pretty bouncy and fast in the beginning - I think it's the fastest bat I have played so far, but it fits my playstyle pretty well, and rewards the skilled player with some heavy speed and spin. It's definitely worth a try, if you want to get a new bat around €50, since it pretty much feels like my old, handcrafted bat, which was about €120. I also love the design of this bat, but i removed the black side strip, which is weirdly wide on all of the Palio 3.0 models, which is pretty much the only thing I do not like about the bat, but I prefer playing without side strip anyways. Can definitely recommend the bat after playing it several times now. I would recommend the Expert or Master model if you are looking for a more defensive bat tho.

Speed , Spin and even Control.. If you're beginner or intermediate choose other Palio .. experts who can control it go for it , legend ! Palio is amazing

This table tennis bat feels professional. It sits well in my hand and the pads are really good. I have used cheap bats before and you get a cluncking sound when striking the ball with very little control of the ball. With this bat it’s a very soft strike and I can get a lot of spin from the rubber pads. A great product and I’m sure it will stand the test of time.
