Great scar healing tape - highly recommend
Recommended by my doctor and it is easy to apply, lasts and is comfortable, stays in place, and provides great results. My scars have healed beautifully and will be barely visible. Great value for the money.

Better than expected result
Quality silicone tape. Basil cell surgery resulted in a 1 1/2 length facial incision. Three weeks after surgery I began daily application of the silicone tape in addition to daily massages of the scar. I am three months after the surgery. My scar is approaching invisible. The tape has good thickness but is easy to work with. The tape color matches my skin tone making it unnoticeable. The tape stays in place and is comfortable. I attribute my better than expected scar result to the quality of the silicone tape.

Works amazing!
I've been using the tape for the past 3 months on a 4 inch surgical cut, 13 stitches. I cried when I saw what they did to me. My first thought the dermatologist butchered my shoulder. It looked horrible! When I showed people after they were shocked. Fast forward, I have been using this and the results have been amazing! My friends are like we can hardly see the scar. Basically it's just a thin line!!

Only tape that works for our sensitive skin
This tape is great for keeping medical equipment attached to my son. We use it specifically for nasal cannulas and gtube gauzes to be taped to his skin and it’s the only tape that doesn’t severely make his skin react when peeled off. It can be peeled off and used again multiple times before it’s not longer sticky. It typically lasts us about a month per roll depending. Definitely recommend to anyone with sensitive skin.

Some improvement for keloid scar
I've been using this tape for three weeks on a 15 year old keloid scar on my upper chest. I didn't have high expectations, but I've seen some noticeable improvement! My scar is softer and smoother and somewhat lighter in color. There has even been a little bit of flattening though I imagine it would take a LONG time to completely flatten a keloid like mine. The tape holds up really well. I wear it all the time with the exception of swimming, showering, and exercise. I HAVE worn it during those activities, but have found that it lasts longer when I don't. Also, it makes my scar itchy when it gets wet. Otherwise, it's very comfortable and non-irritating and I often forget I'm wearing it. It has lasted me an average of 7 days.I think this would work really well for a newer surgical scar. I don't think it will provide optimal results for keloids by itself (with the exception of maybe very small ones). Keloids are notoriously difficult to treat and tend to reoccur. I've only been using this for a short time, but I think it's likely that the improvements I've seen may not last if I were to stop the therapy. However, I think this could be a useful product when used alongside a more aggressive therapy like steroid injections and laser. I've not had injections but plan to start them in a couple of months. I can see myself still using this tape in between those treatments, especially when the scar is no longer raised--this stuff can work as protection and cover up for redness. And it may also help keep the scar flatter longer. Who knows? That being said, this tape is affordable and the results I've seen so far have made it a worthwhile purchase for me so I would recommend it for keloids. It definitely won't hurt! It's not a miracle worker, but it does have some positive effects.

Comparison to scar away
This stuff works great! After reading the reviews for scar away and seeing this product in the recommendation bar, I decided to take a chance on this tape. After a breast augmentation and tummy tuck my surgeon gave me scar away sheets. I decided to put the scar away on my tummy scars and the mepitac on my breast scars. The mepitac tape is much thinner but sill has a layer of silicone. The mepitac tape also sticks better and is easier to cut to size since it comes on a roll. One box of scar away barely covered my tummy scars but I still have a significant amount of mepitac left on the roll at half the price. The mepitac stayed on and didn't fail through scar and implant massage for 2 days while the scar away rolled up and kept coming off or sticking to my clothing. I read all of the instructions and ended up using medical tape to stick the scar away in place. Today before my shower I took off both tapes and lined them up on the counter as many reviewers had recommended. I even used water to rinse off any gross stuff from the silicone sticky surface and left it to dry while I showered. After the shower the tape stuck right back on no problem. I used a cotton ball to smooth it down and remove any excess moisture left over from rinsing it. The scar away tape had to be taped down at the seams with medical tape because I didn't have the same faith it would stay put after two days of pushing it down. The biggest difference was in my scars! The scars under the scar away tape looked unchanged after two days while the scars under the mepitac tape were visibly flattened! I used no oil or scar treatment cream other then a very thin layer of polysporin. I'm 14 days post op so my scars are very new! This was all I needed to know to buy two more rolls of mepitac and know it will be great for the rest of my recovery. I can't wait to show my surgeon the difference in both scars at my appointment in a few days. Highly recommend this product!

Best tape for bells palsy - total game changer
For bell's palsy, they recommend taping your non-closing eye closed at night in order to prevent damage to your eye. This tape was a game changer. All other tapes felt like they were going to remove skin. I hope to never experience bells palsy again, but if I do, or if I encounter others who do, this is the tape I'll recommend. Facial palsy UK is the most helpful site I found for those seeking more info on bells palsy. It shows a video how to tape your eye closed.
