Good price for a hard to find item

This basket lid is not a real Hayward product. It is a aftermarket that was not stated in the description. It does work but very misleading and disappointing

Had issues with previous caps and o-rings leaking everywhere. Bought this before I was going to buy a new pump. Fits perfectly but please make sure to lube the o-ring. It was a nightmare to get off without lube.

Fit my strainer perfectly and the leaking stopped immediately. The lid had just worn down. I had forgot to turn the valve on that went from the pump to the filter after I had checked the chlorine dispenser so it had run a couple of hours before I caught it. By that time the water was coming out of the top of the strainer - no cracks but it had worn it down (had it for 12 years so as it was, it was old!). Tried to purchase a new lid locally but they didn't have it. Found this one on Amazon as well as reviews from reviewers who had to replace their lid because of leakage. They said it would solve the problem and they were right. Got it in two days - love Amazon Prime!

Fits extremely tight had to use a 22 inch pry bar to finish tighten it. But I’m pleased with the $price and how well it fits compared to some of the reviews

An overzealous person tightening the original happened to crack it, the local pool shop was charging double the price for this, so we hoped for the best and ordered from Amazon, it was identical to the original part and works perfectly (and by works, I mean keeps all your water from running out, since, ya know, that's all it's designed to do...yes, I know, boring...but ultimately kinda crucial). ;) Was happy also that it included the o-ring. I'll probably order a replacement just to keep on hand as a backup since if/when this part cracks, it's going to mean your pool is out of service until it's replaced.

It's a little too snug for me to put remove when filter needs to be cleared. But that's what my husband is for ;)

Fits exactly as it should. However, please make sure to grease around the o-ring prior to locking it on your pump. It'll make it easier to install and protect the o-ring from cracking. Don't use petroleum jelly, make sure you buy the appropriate lube for this product. Was half the price then my regular pool parts supplier, good buy!!

Looks the same as original but does not seat or turn to lock Origonal one was the same ,had to use a hammer to rotate to lock Now have to use screw type Clamps to hold it on Thats not performance Not happy All commercials show an easy hand turn to lock and unlock Design a simple lock with 2 or 3 flip type locks

Product was as described, unfortunately my pump was too old to make it work.I have to return it but am now out a 20% restocking fee. I was not aware of any restocking fees when I ordered, if I’d known I would have ordered from my local pool company.
