It is just like the picture: there is a softball sized wiffle ball used to form the glove's shape, an elastic wrap to hold the glove together, break-in oil or solution to soften the leather and a sponge to apply the oil to the glove with. I hope this helps you!

Can this be used on pigskin instead of rawhide?

I'm sure it can be used on any kind of leather, but it will darken it. If you have a glove with that buckskin look, you should be ready for it to darken in color quite a bit.

My glove looks darker than before, will it return to the original color when it dries?

It will depend on the age of the glove, the amount of oil and the type of leather, but yes it could slightly darken some gloves.

Will this work on a white hockey goalie glove? Will it stain or damage it?

It's oil, so I'd guess it would stain it if it's oil permeable. It definitely darkens a baseball glove. If the glove is not oil absorbent, the kit probably won't help. Honestly, I've never seen a hockey goalie glove up close.

Packing is different than the advertising, but it comes with everything listed. I’ve only gone through 2 applications and the sponge is already breaking apart. I recommend using a microfiber cloth for application of the liquid. The liquid bottle pours freely, it caught me off guard first time I tried putting the solution on the sponge. Commit to the pour. The band has good retention. I was worried the plastic ball would be too small to break in a softball glove, but I was wrong. So far so good.

Great product, combined with the glove mallet it worked in a new glove within a few 1/2 hour sessions. TIP-buy a small spray bottle from a dollar store to put the oil in, then use the spray to really get every crease wet with the oil, worked like a charm and much easier than the sponge applicator which is supplied.
