Gambler Evolution Econo Scale-Pack of 1

Starting off I own two of these! I have been fishing with this tool for only one year so far, but they haven't shown any signs of wear and tear at all. I'm really impressed with the lip grip feature. I use this tool in place of a net when I'm fishing from my boat. The scale is a bonus, but I'm not sure how accurate it actually is. I don't need gloves because the handle has excellent grip even when wet. The biggest fish so far was a 20 lbs. pike and this tool held up great!

These are pretty good grips, especially for the money, unless you are a guide or tourney fisher and weighing fish is important. At first they seem pretty cheap, but so far they have worked flawlessly.

i do a lot of hiking through woods and brush to get to many of my favorite fishing spots, which means i cant really carry nets. a friend of mine had a 50 pound lipper scale like this one when we were fishing for blue cats in the patomic. so in order to have something to help me haul in fish without getting a net stuck in tree branches every few yards haha. i take this thing with me everytime i go fishing its always in my tackle bag. its strong, sturdy, easy to use, and its is pretty accurate as far as weighing the fish.

I bought this product to add to my fishing collection, as a new freshwater fisherman to Pennsylvania lakes and streams. I thought it would be helpful in weighing the fish as well as holding fish up for the trophy photo. (I know its a cheesy reason). Overall, a pretty good device. The reason I gave it four stars is because the material seems cheap and I am concerned about how long it will last. The weight appeared accurate on my most recent catch, though I didn't compare it with an alternate scale. The makers put in a pin jutting out which ensures that the tool is lined up. i would imagine that this would also assist with making sure the spring doesn't break. Finally, in order to use it, you have to pull back the lower grey part and the claws open. The weight of the fish and the second spring help keep the claws shut when holding the fish. I recommend attaching the claws inside the fishes lips rather than at a hook. Conclusion: Great for a person of any experience level of fishing. Gives you an approximate weight and assists with the trophy catch photos. Also, gives you an alternative to keeping the fish on the hook.

Does the job of much more expensive versions of the exact same thing. Great for kayak fishing. Bought another for my wife. She enjoys fishing much more when she doesn't have to touch the fish or wait for me to touch the fish for her. :)

Not good for smaller fish - 3lb etc. The scale doesn't measure the weight at all. It does hold down my hand towel very well though.

does not even come close to getting the weight right. the readings are hard to see especially at night and when I get home and use the scale I find its wrong every time.

Good product. Feels sturdy. Haven't had a chance to use it yet but it feels like it will accommodate my needs.
