Q: I bought this tambourine, I like it but I was looking for one with a bit lower sound. A little too high. Can you recommend one with a lower pitch?

I had the same problem and returned this one. I replaced it with the RhythmTech TC4010 10-Inch True Colors Tambourine, Black (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002FOHH0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage) and I am very satisfied with this one.

I went back and looked at the description of my DD Half Moon Tambourine and it also said White, but I never noticed that and I wanted Black and I received Black. My order was 2016 and Great Tambourine by the way!

Q: is it good for Worship

Yes, it is very good for worship. I use for prison ministry worship gatherings and it is very easy on the hand because of the half moon shape. The sound is very nice with a mid range. Excellent instrument!
