Start-X Car Remote Starter Kit for Select F-150, Edge & Expedition

i have purchased other "plug n play" remote starters before for other vehicles. this was for a 17 f150. remote start was working within 10 minutes of opening the box. a lot of plug n play remote starts still have other wires that need ran, this one has none. simply plug into the OBD port and follow instructions. Wish they made this style for all vehicles.

Easy to setup, works great

Works perfectly on my 2020 F150. I opened the box, plugged it into the OBDII port, turned the key on, waited 30 seconds and I had remote start. Works flawlessly. I read about issues with range on other reviews, but this is a Ford keyless entry remote issue, not an issue with this unit. I’d suggest testing the range of your remote before buying if you have concerns. No range issues for my usage. Great price, and no hassles whatsoever. If you want fast and easy install this is the unit you need. Highly recommend.

I have a 2018 F150 4x4. A friend told me about this and I ordered it right away hoping it would work with mine. There are 2 types of remote action. I suggest Lock-Unlock-Lock sequence remote start. The one I bought. That way you don't have to listen to the horn blasting remote starting your vehicle. I read the instructions and plugged it in. Turned the key switch on and in in 15 seconds I had remote start. I Highly recommend this to anyone that does not have remote start and wants it. No cutting wires, no tools. Just plug it in to the OBD port and you have remote start. Buy one!

I was really surprised at how well this device worked. 1. It was VERY easy to install. I had watched the installation video before the device arrived. When it came in, it literally took me longer to open the boxes than to installed and use. 2. It does not require an additional remote for the started. It uses my existing key remotes. No additional programming. I do have two minor complaints (not enough to remove a star). 1. While the instructions in the box tell you how to install and pair with your car. It does not tell you how to use the starter (Lock-unlock-lock). Also, it does mention that you can use the same pattern to turn off the vehicle. I already knew how to use it from the video but if someone had not watched it then it should also be in the written instructions. 2. It does stick down a little under the dash and near the brake pedal. It has not been an issue but I am worried that I will kick it. Overall, I would recommend this product. I have a 2017 F150 XL, 4x4, STX.

Great product. Does what it says. I also purchased an obdII reader compatible with forscan and got the remote start options showing on the dashboard computer. did an emissions test and removed the device in case it brought up any complications. After the test i plugged the device back in and was unable to get it working at all. Tried the reset method of turning the truck on and off 5 times and leaving it on the fifth time (not started, but key in accessory position). This did not reset my device. I ended up finding another reset method which did work for me and the remote start is working again on my 2018 Ford F-150. Directions: 1. Turn truck off, remove remote start device 2. Turn key to on position (do not start truck) 3. While holding the reset button next to the green/red light, plug the device in 4. The light should turn red for a couple seconds, let go of the reset button during this time. The light will turn green and back up and running again!

Great product, installation is ridiculously easy. Took me less than 1 minute to install and program. Worked on the first attempt. I recommend this product, can't beat the price and the easy install. Installed in my 2018 F-150 3.5L Updating my review a year later: it worked for the first winter, but now it does not work. I have tried reprogramming with no success. I can't figure out how to contact the company to ask for advice. So it was great, now, not so much. Ok latest update. I contacted the seller and got help in reprogramming the unit. What finally fixed it was Cycle the ignition on off 5 times within 7 seconds. On the fifth time its in the on position wait for the LED to turn red for 2 seconds. Turn the ignition off. Test the remote start. If it still doesnt start, try the same thing, once more.

I purchased this for my 2015 F150 XLT Ecoboost. The instructions were very short and to the point. I think there were 5 steps in the pamphlet. In short you just plug it into the OBD port, start the engine and let run for a moment, I guess it registers to the computer, and your done. For them cold mornings where you want to warm it up before leaving home, leave the heat set where you want the day before and then turn the engine off. Sure was nice to get out of bed and hit lock, unlock, lock, and about 3 seconds later hear it crank up. After getting dressed for work and going to the truck it was already warm inside. Nice!! Well worth the price.

I love that this product is very easy to install, took like 2 min. Just plug it in and turn key without cranking engine, wait for light to go green( less than 30 sec) then lock, unlock, lock on your remote, engine starts. When you want to drive just put key in without cranking again. Can't be any easier....

I wasn’t sure about this being so inexpensive and simple to install but it was both. Plugged it in. Did the remote thing and it worked.

Had it for couple year now since I got my Truck , works great everytime
