The old ones that came with a glass shelving unit were plastic, subject to breakage.
I love that they are made of metal and have adjustable plastic screws to keep the glass shelfs from shifting. Easy install and look great!

Shelf Brackets
I was concerned that these brackets would be too small or large. I was happy with the size and how the plastic screw holds glass in place. Now the issue... Does not hold the glass straight It slants .The anchors are in straight and the brackets are Flushed against the wall but the glass slants slightly downward. Maybe better anchors then the cheap plastic ones included might work better or maybe the brackets should be longer I don't know for sure. Glass is 18" by 5" I used 3 brackets on two of them . Yes I am disappointed. Maybe the clamp brackets are too short. I will update this review when I buy better anchors to see if the issue is solved.

Strength and stability
I am using these brackets to hold a 4โ x 6โ piece of fused glass anchored in a base of wood. The brackets are pretty and adjusts easily to the thickness of the finished art glass. I appreciate the dense plastic screw because it does not harm the glass panel but is very stable and strong.

This was super easy to install. I used anchors to ensure my corner shelf could withstand the weight. There are no screws.
