A great value and so convenient. I use these in my corncob pipes to reduce the annoying gurgle.

These work well with my corncob pipes. Often I cut them in half, but that’s not necessary. They do a great job filtering while still allowing a good drag and my tobacco flavor to come through

I don’t think paper filters affect flavor, and I like them for moisture only. And it works for that purpose

Good but, expensive

These filters are the only realistic choice for Grabow pipes if your smoking tobacco. They allow a maximum amount of flavor to come through with hot ash ever being a problem. They'll typically last for 3 bowls. But, taste best in changed after every bowl. For the price, you simply can't beat these.

For Dr Grabow or Medico tobacco pipes these are excellent. In a Filtermaster pipe I have to trim these a little to fit but thats fine they work great.

And availability. I have a few pipes that use filters and fewer and fewer places sell them around here and I like to be able to change filters every time I use one of those pipes. Works out to about 9 cents a filter and that's well worth the price. Most pipes made for sale in Europe take either a 6mm or 9mm filter. These work well in any of the 6mm models (like Savinelli) and allow for,the smoke to pass through but not the moisture or small bits of tobacco. American pipe snobs don't believe in filters, but something like 80% of the pipes sold in Europe use them. My order was shipped fast and packed well. I wish that Amazon had a better selection of pipes and accessories but alas, the anti-smoking folks must have infiltrated Amazon too.
