Dont have a complaint for this mold. First time using it, and the candles that I make come out with ease, just have to use a small coat of oil for removing with ease once the wax has hardened.

I was pretty pleased with this candle mold. It seems well made and worked great. At first I was concerned that my candle was going to get stuck inside but it was actually surprisingly easy to get it out. Just remove the top, gently press down and out it pops. The candle fit perfectly in my taper holder, too. It does leak at the wick hole, so you would want to use wick tape or something similar to plug the hole before pouring.

Hello, I rarely leave reviews, but am Instagram-ing (LizzyLovesYouPics) and actually have pictures, so here I am. I bought two and have been loving using these tapered candle molds. I will more than likely buy more as I'd like to be able to make at least 4 at a time. I went to the comments to learn that you just pop your candles in the mold in the freezer for 10+ minutes and the candle will slide right out. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do! Feel free to ask questions. :) -- the little bag of tack that comes with the mold will dry out, I made DIY I think silly putty using dish soap and cornstarch and a lot of mixing. That is what is under the molds, and in the mug, at the end of the video and what will keep the hot wax from dribbling out. -- I have been using soy wax melted in the microwave then pouring that into the molds after setting them up like I show at the end of the video Thank you! I tried using the item but when it came down to poring the wax into the mold the wax slipped through the whole made for the wick. That may have been user error though. After figure if that part out when the wax dried it was so hard to remove from the mold, my best advice is to remove it when it still a little warm. I’ve tried running it under hot water and everything, the dang thing wouldn’t budge… hahahha but heck it’s a beautiful mold and I definitely think my problems with it was user error !

The price I paid for this little thing. I'm not happy about it, besides, it was supposed to be way bigger than what I received. I'll keep it because I will find a use for it. But if you're going to sell something at that price you could've made it a set of four. I'll add a photo of it after I find the lil thing in my candle supplies.

so easy to use and great if you're looking to make your own 2 colour coated candles. just use a 1.25 inch diameter candle, centre it in the moulder and pour in your second colour wax. perfect two-toned candles.

I personally don't understand all the negative reviews, I think it's a fantastic mold! The candle slides right out of the mold. I sprayed with baking grease before pouring and put in freezer and had no problems. Will be buying more sizes!

I received this taper mold for Christmas. I normally make candles with beeswax. The fist beeswax candle I made with this mold got stuck and I had a very hard time removing the candle from the mold. Lesson # 1= if using beeswax, lubricate mold first. For second candle, I sprayed Pam oil inside mold, pulled some kitchen roll through the mold to remove excess oil, put cooled candle in freezer for 30 mins and candle removal was easy! I have since made paraffin wax candles and didn’t need to lubricate. Just popped in freezer for 30 mins and out the candle popped. My second tip is that if you are using a thicker wick (which I do) it is challenging to get the wick through the tiny holes. I pre waxed my wick, leaving an inch at the end unwaxed. Then I used the sharp end of a bamboo skewer to push the unwaxed end of wick through hole in mold base. (Ends up being top of candle). Then just pull through the wick until the waxed wick is just through the hole. If using thicker wick, this will be enough to seal the hole and stop leakage. I personally don’t use the other end of the mold with the hole for getting the wick cantered. I use a bobby pin/Kirby clip which works just fine. This mold definitely takes a bit of practice. But I am very happy with the candles I have made with the mold after a bit of trial and error...And they burn really nicely 😊

I couldn’t get my candle out of it

This candle mould is well designed and works fairly easily. I use a plastic funnel to pour the wax into the top of the mould and a small piece of tape to cover the hole in the bottom that the wick threads through. The mould has a habit of spilling out the bottom unless you cover the bottom hole with tape or putty of some sort. Then, I put the candle in the freezer to shrink the wax and easily remove the candle every time. Good for making candles as a hobby, not industrial enough for anyone seriously making candles as a craft or business.

These are cumbersome molds. You have to heat them to get the candles out, and inadvertantly you'll damage them as they will crack after some use.
