Good quality
Good quality -- fixed my daughter’s phone and stocked up for the future!I used this kit to replace the cracked screen on my daughter’s iPhone 8 Plus, and it worked out well. The screen looks good -- the colors and 3D Touch feel close enough to the original. I was satisfied enough that I bought two more kits -- one for another repair, and one as a backup in case the price increases in the near future. But be prepared to take your time. It took me about an hour and a half to finish, definitely longer than the suggested 30 minutes. Transferring the ear speaker, front camera, and home button from the old screen takes patience, and aligning the waterproof seal is a bit tricky if you want to keep the water resistance. After getting through the repair, my daughter’s phone is back in action. If you’re comfortable with small parts and don’t mind a slow process, this is a good option to get a phone back up and running.

Great Product – Works Perfectly on iPhone 8 Plus
This product worked very well for my iPhone 8 Plus. The video in the description was super helpful and gave me the confidence to do the installation myself. It took me about 3 hours to remove the old screen and install the new one. Everything fits perfectly and works as expected. Highly recommend!

Not as easy as they say
First I want to explain that I spent 40 years as a hardware and firmware engineer and have work on many micro-electronics projects. So I'm quite experienced but not at specifically iPhone assembly and disambly. By the time I was done I had 3 other videos open from other sources. And at that, after 3.5 hours I just gave up.Issues:1. No video was sent to me showing the process. I tried to follow the on on the amazon site but it seemed to be for a different board. Made it hard to follow. I don't think it was the exact version I have.2. Suction cup kept popping off.3. Case didn't pop open. Other videos said there may be glue that had hardened. Luckily I have a hot air chip remover that I used to heat the edges of the phone and then was able to open it. I had to use an Exacto knife with a flat blade to get between the upper assembly and the case.4. Screwdriers didn't always mate properly. Seems like the philips tip may be too long.5. Images of phone back didn't match my phone 100%.6. Screen assembly didn't seem to match.7. The sheet magnet with the phone image printed on it seemed like a good idea. The images were hard to match to the phone. The attraction was far less than the screwdrivers so screws wouldn't "pop off" the screwdriver easily. All in all an unplesant experience. To be fair it didn't help that my old eyes aren't what they used to be. Even with glasses, a loupe and an inspection microscope it was hard to get those little screws to work.

Fine to install, reset required when screen is unresponsive
I followed along with the installation video on this site. I like the magnet with the image of the phone so you can track where the screws go. I have never done anything like this before, but I was able to do it in about 90 minutes. It seemed to work well at first. My daughter uses the phone here and there to watch YouTube. Even though it’s not used as much as a working phone, it still has to be reset about once a day to get the screen to be responsive again. Hopefully this issue doesn’t worsen.I waited a month to install the screen, so I won’t be able to exchange it.Edit: the company contacted me and replaced it. I would buy from them again.

Back at 3, if you email it goes back to 1 permanently.
Works 99% of time. Firstly if you’re looking at replacing your screen and have never done it before; watch their video and see if it’s something you’re comfortable with; it’s relatively simple but can be fiddily around the camera and home button. This kit will give you all you need to get it done. I paused and rewound the video when needed to help the process and if I could rate just the kit and video then it would be 5*s but the screen itself isn’t great so brings the rating down - picture quality is the same as the standard screen, but there’s issues sometimes with touch sensitivity (dead zones) and an area of the my new screen that does look ever so slightly lighter than the rest. My main issue with the screen is occasionally when locked, and going to unlock, the screen will go all black for about 30 seconds which can be annoying. I’ve found pressing the lock button instead of the touch button to wake helps this but it’s still there. Having seen other comments most issues with replacement screens in general is finding a good one so it’s kind of a roulette as to what you’re going to get from anyone. These issues I can live with for the price and I’m sure I could have returned the screen for a new one but then I’d be without a working phone for however long, so I’ve decided I can live with the screens “quirks”.Also be prepared they will email spam you to change or delete your reviews.
