Spring expansion tool worked like a charm. Easy to remove the spring and easy to reinstall. Just followed the direction on a YouTube video. I didn’t have any issues with the tool. The spring did not slip off while removing the spring or putting it back on. I highly recommend this tool.

If you're going to remove or install the door seal on your washer, this thing makes the operation a breeze.

Works with my LG 4.5 cubic foot front load washer. Machine is just over 2 years old, but the spring just fell out one day. I wash about three loads per week, nothing out of the ordinary. I tried the needle nose pliers hack, but it was very difficult. Given that the washer is only 2 years old, I expect this to happen again, so it was worth buying this tool. It did take me two tries to get the bring put back in. You still need to be patient. The tool also requires good grip strength.

Bought this for my LG laundry tower combo. Needed to replace my front loader bellow seal. Works as advertised for the outer wire/spring for the seal to door. Did not work for the seal to tub wire/spring. The hole for the spring was too small for the prongs. I did not have my grinder on me or shaving down the prongs may have worked. Still it could have broken to go much thinner. Also still requires a bit of muscling once the plies handles are already bottoming out against each other, still requires a bit of muscling with a flat screw driver to pop the wire over the seal which this tool was supposed to eliminate the use of the screw driver, seems the prongs could be a bit longer to provide more spreading distance. Over all, this is the 7th seal I've replace, this being the only one using this tool and the only LG I've done this one, previous, I've used a narrow stiff putty knife I've blunted to protect the seal to seat the wire/spring and that worked but it's a struggle with only two hands, better when I asked my wife to help. I imagine that if the tool was better to fit the hole at the ends of the spring and was able to spread another 1/2 inch or so, I'd rate it perfect at 5 stars but for the money and much less aggravation, I'd use this tool every time albeit with the prongs shaven down a bit to fit the ends of the spring, It is probably a combination of the loops on my spring being on the small end and the tool I got on the larger end and the combined tolerance made my job a bit harder. Next time, if there's a next time, I think I'd order replacement spring at the same time as the seal. I still recommend this tool unless you have great dexterity and a third arm or a helper. Very good if not great tool with a minor quirk on my copy of the tool.

I had no idea what I was getting into.. but they worked great. Makes taking that spring band off much easier.

Solid tool and appears built well. I didn't end up using it after watching a YouTube video where a guy used a flat blade screwdriver to remove the spring and needle nose pliers to reinstall the spring. I'm sure the tool makes the job easier and faster so I would use one if I removed the springs regularly. Hopefully mine was a one time event, so the cost isn't worth it to me. Giving it 5 stars based on how it appears and how I expect it would work.

No where in the item description or specifications does it specify this product is made with chemicals that cause cancer and birth defects. Why am I finding out after its inside my home.

The bill quality is decent, and it obviously has minimal functionality beyond its design. However, it does what it is supposed to do very effectively.

Its not a everyday tool but it does what ot meant for. Good quality and easy to use , used it to fix the washmachine spring and it works . Works for LG Direct Drive washmachine. Recommended

Decidí comprar esta herramienta ya que al quitar el aro de la lavadora LG frontal para después remover el empaque y poder retirar el switch dañado de la puerta no tuve problema; pero al instalar todo de nuevo, a la hora de poner el aro metálico que va a presión, si batallé, de hecho hasta fue una operación insegura. Pero ahora, que ya me llegó el SW dañado y tuve que instalarlo de nuevo, con esta herramienta lo pude hacer sin problema, de inmediato y de forma segura.
