Ruitroliker Retro Controller Gamepad Joystick for Atari 2600 System Console Black

Bought this for use with my new Atari 2600+, with less han 20 minutes use this joystick broke inside.As it was beyond the returns window, I opened it up to see if was repairable, and two small pieces of plastic had broken off inside, and it was beyond repair.

This is modelled on the original 2600 joystick and it looks and feels like the original joystick. Instead of the metal contacts the joystick had originally these sound now like it uses microswitches. These are a lot easier to replace if a direction or fire button stops working. This should work on any 9 pin retro computer not just the Atari. These are one of my favourite joysticks.Edit: I have found the joystick fire button needs a full push for it to fire. With the original you only need to glance your finger on the fire button for it to work.

Looks good and works well while it lasts which isn’t very long unfortunately. The plastic inside the joystick is vey brittle and snaps after only light use.
