Is the speaker in this mic, qhn22,, better than the upgraded speaker in the newer baofeng uv-82hp radio?

The speaker on this is definitely NOT better than the 1,000 mA speaker on UV-82 or even than the 700 aA on the UV5r or BFs. As others have noted the maximum power out on all the Baofeng handies of the aux mic speaker circuit for anything external is 350 mA. So if clarity and volume of audio is important to you say in a moderately noisy vehicle can combine this with an externally powered speaker.

When you plug a earpiece into the audio jack do you still hear audio who the mic speaker asking because I've had this problem before with hand mics

Yes, but only if they wired it correctly. I had to swap the input wires for the speaker which also serves as the ground for the mic before mine would work.
