I bought this not knowing when or even if I'd need it, but knowing eventually I probably would. That time came yesterday when I received new tie rod ends for my riding mower and the threads were damaged on the ends like it had been dropped and peened. Returns can be aggravating and time consuming so I opted to repair them myself. I learned very quickly when attempting to use this tool that an 8 or 9mm bolt will go much further into it than expected. I had to use vise grips over the booted portion of the tie rod in order to hold it back far enough to give this tool room to work. But once I made this compromise it made extremely quick clean work of chamfering the ends and the nuts then went on easily with nothing else having to be done. I really have to wonder how many uses I can get out of it before it starts getting dull, but I can tell you it was still cutting through it like butter after using it on 2 ends so I feel confident I'll easily get my money's worth. Reduced from 5 stars only because of the depth issue and not knowing how well it will holdup over time. May very well be a 5 star item.

Wish I had had one for years. Very handy tool to have in the shop. Worked as advertised.

my husband asked me to grab one of these for him for work .. did not feel like driving to a local hardware store, And paying such high prices.This item seems high grade steel/metal, at a fraction of the price.. i’m sure it’s going to last for many years. My husband has already gotten tons of use out of it. Worth every penny

These work great!!!! I work in a shop doing pre-fabrication for an electrical company. We cut 3/8" and 1/2" allthread by the hundreds all the time. It use to be a pain to thread on the nuts until I found this tool browsing Amazon. It has worked for me every time perfectly. Saves so much time, and makes the job so much easier!

these wear quite fast

Before and after pictures. Sloppily and quickly cut off the ruined threads and then with just a few revolutions of the deburrer it was ready to thread the nut. Higher quality material than some others I've tried. Note: don't press hard when using the tool.

I bought these for chamfering 5/8" threaded rod. Didn't last for 5 pieces.

a little disappointing... these are too big to work on the 1/4-20 bolts I often use.so they did not work for me.

tried it on lug nuts i had cut off, what a joke, you could deburr better with a fingernail file. suggest not to waste your money.
