Charcoal is a known to absorb unwanted odor in various environments. But using charcoal as a means of air freshener can be a hassle to some because of the associated need to put it in an open container, having to keep the container in a fixed area and the risk of tripping over the container and spilling the content. It also explains that after the bag absorbs the odor you only need to put the bag out in the sunlight to "recharge", making it a cost-effective means of odor control. This product offers convenience and portability in that you can easily carry this bag and hang it anywhere you want without worrying about tripping over it and getting charcoal all over the place. The product comes with a few stainless silver hooks that you can use to hang the bag on the wall, cabinet, etc. I was at first concerned whether this would work as effectively, since the fabric of the bag seemed pretty thick and wasn't sure if it would interfere with charcoal's ability to penetrate through odors. Well I was wrong! I put this in the laundry room overnight and hung it loosely on one of the plumbing pipes under the sink. The next day, whatever unpleasant odor I experienced whenever I walked into the laundry room was gone. I have not done anything new since then so the full credit goes to this awesome charcoal bag. I am currently testing this product inside my car but I expect it would work there just as well. My only complaint is perhaps the size of the bag (a tad bit too large and thus noticeable). But I am inclined to believe that the larger the bag the more charcoal it contains, hence the more powerful it is against odor. Therefore, I can just keep the bag out of plain sight and still have it work its magic.

Unfortunately, when my house was built, the builder did not include an exhaust fan to the exterior of the house. All I have is a circulating fan at the top of the microwave. My house has an open floor plan and anytime I cook the smell of the food permeates the whole house. I bought an air purifier, hoping that it would help remove some of the food odors, but it didn’t help I thought I would give the activated charcoal a try. Shortly after placing two of the sachets in my kitchen, the smell was gone. In this photo, you can see the sachets hanging from the cupboards. If people come to visit, I will take them down, but this has been an extremely effective odor eliminator. Make sure to read the package carefully. It is recommended to recharge the sachets by putting them out in the sun once a month. According to the package this will allow them to be affective for up to two years. If that is indeed, the case that would be a good bang for my buck! We’ll see…

We had an annoying cat smell in the house for years and I've tried many different remedies (including air Purifiers) but could not get rid of it. Within a couple days of hanging 5 of these bags in 3 different rooms the odor seems to have gone away. So far I'm very pleased with the purchase and will order 5 more bags for the remaining rooms. The bags look nice enough to hang round the house in full view. Also, they came with large chrome S hooks so you can strategically them nearly anywhere.

These charcoal bags work well at eliminating mold, musty, dog odors from our home. We've been slowly eliminating scented chemicals from our home but still wanted something top make sure people wouldn't be able to smell dog odor in our home. We have two medium size dogs & these really work! Added plus they are much cheaper than other brands. gave 4 stars for scent because there isn't really a scent to them, that's the point.....as far as freshness they had a slight odor at first....I assume the activated charcoal but I didn't smell it at all after about 2 days. They are simple to use....make sure you activate them in the sun first & monthly to keep them working the way they were meant to. Again highly recommend these bags.....love the hooks that come with them!!

Are these bags removing the odors from the rooms I put them in? I really have no idea. Maybe my nose doesn't work anymore, because I really can't tell the difference and they've been hanging up in a couple different places for a few weeks now. I keep hoping...

I was looking for something to cease the odor around our living room sectional area where our 2 dogs lay. After placing these 5 bags in the sun for a full day I was curious if the odor would cease. I laid all 5 around the base of the sectional one night before bed. The next morning the scent of dog was gone! It amazed me! These totally eliminated the “dog” odor. We bathe our dogs weekly but they still get that stink within a week. I have blankets laid along our sectional,!which is solely for them, which I wash daily as well but the scent of a dog eventually makes its way into the air. These were gems to find. I’m thrilled they do as described. It says to place in the sun every 30 days. I’ll continue to use these until the odor returns. The bag does say they last up to 2 years. These were well worth I paid. They also come with 5 hanging hooks if you wanted to hang them in a closet or above a garbage or some sort. From my experience I highly recommend!

The items worked just as described. We have a dog that likes to poop in the house, same room every night. After placing one of these it that room it makes the morning pick up so much easier. NO SMELL! Also placed one by the garbage cans in the garage, worked there too. Made my garage so much nicer to work in. Only negative comment is they need better instructions. Is more than a half hour better to activate them and will flipping them over during the charging make any difference? Does it matter if the sewn on label is facing up during the charging? Seems like it would block the sun. Otherwise a great product. 5 Stars!!

I purchased this product to help reduce the musty odors in my house. I live in a very old house, and after a few weeks of sitting in the closet, my clothes start to smell stale. I hung two in my closet and placed the others in my dresser. It’s worked well so far, and my clothes smell fresher than they did before. I wish the bags were slimmer as it takes up about 4-5 clothes hangers’ worth of space on the rack. I plan to buy more to use inside my car.

Great product. Comes in a neat fabric bag, a single bag is good for the medium sized cupboard, 2 work well for the wardrobe. Metal eyelet is convenient for hanging directly onto the clothes hangers. Putting the bags out in the sun once a month really makes a difference, after the charcoal absorbs odour as good as new.

I really like this product it's not smelly but it gets ride of all orders. Thanks!
