Uniform, Clean, and Consistent Every Time
These black beluga lentils have become a staple in my pantryโnot just for cooking, but for how well they store and display. The grains are small, round, and uniform, with no debris or broken pieces mixed in. When rinsed, they hold their shape and donโt leave residue or clouding behind. They cook evenly, keep a firm texture without turning mushy, and blend perfectly into soups or salads. The color is rich, the flavor is subtle and earthy, and the overall quality stays consistent across bags.I store mine in clear jars alongside rice and grains, and the presentation alone looks sharpโdeep black contrast against lighter grains gives the whole cabinet a clean, structured aesthetic.โ Curated by Jaded John | #OrderlyCleanDesign

Really great flavor
These lentils have a very unique flavor. They almost have a nutty undertone to them. They are smaller than the lentils I'm used to and are celiac friendly, so if you have an allergy to wheat/gluten like I do, these are right up your alley. The ONLY reason I did not rate 5 stars is because there were no directions on the label. Of course, you can just google how to cook lentils, especially if it's your first time making them, but it's convenient to have the directions printed on the label for obvious reasons. This is my first time buying black beluga lentils. I have tried the red and green lentils and they all have different cook times. These probably took about 15 minutes to simmer before they were done to my liking. After about 10 minutes, I just continued to check them until I felt they were soft enough for me. Great value for he amount you get and so easy to make!

Nutritious and tasty!
Rinse first, of course.I bring the water to a boil, add a touch of salt, add the lentils, and then simmer for about 25-30 minutes.Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Nutrition Label Seems Off. But Product is Good.
My food scale weighed 1/2 cup and gave me 117g not 35g per the label. The discrepancy is just too big to be believable. Something is off with the label I think (since my food scale is fairly accurate with many other items).I can give this product a 1 star for label error or 5 stars for product value and quality.Even though I'm frustrated by the label volume-to-weight conversion discrepancy (and by implication I can't trust anything it says about nutrition values), I'll keep the five star rating for now since it does look like good black beluga lentils.
