This is a solid and inexpensive hiking pole at a good length for me. It also holds a spearhead which is becoming important as I am beginning to get into photography while hiking in conditions that need a steady base. I have found monopods okay for standard photography and am having problems with small tripods for photographing small sized subjects with my phone while hiking. Put the spearhead in the ground, get a standard cell phone mount and Bluetooth. This is a steady hands free way of doing good photography under hiking conditions where conditions are less than ideal.

It's a wooden handle, seems solid. I just figured the brand might have better/wood than random Chinese stuff

A little bit pricier the ones you could buy at the box stores, but seems to be a little heavier and laced if it gets wet will not rot as easy

I honestly didn't expect such a beefy handle when spending less than $5 for this. I swear they must have spent more in shipping it than I paid for it. The handle if very well made but these are my observations. First, it isn't sealed but that is not an issue as I easily have the ability to seal the wood myself. Second, there were comments about the handle breaking so I will explain the issue they probably had. When you mount the handle to the tool, be aware of the grain of the wood. You must place the handle on the the tool so that your force is pushing towards the grain (the lines) versus perpendicular to the grain. Hope this helps. I couldn't find a handle like this at my local hardware store or large well known hardware stores for this amount of money.

$20 for a broom handle is insane I thought I was paying for a quality hard wood product however the handle literally exploded in half from a knot in the wood first time using it on a push broom this is very low quality softwood with a plastic like coating to resemble hard wood underneath is a wood so soft you can push your finger nail into it I can't get my $20 back please don't waste yours

Ok product but shaft was bent. Still usable though.

It's slightly warped and finish is not very smooth.
