Analogies for Critical Thinking, Grade 4 from Teacher Created Resources

These are great tools for children who are on an ESE plan at school. The extra resource of critical thinking is helpful to children who struggle with symptoms of autism and inside the box thinking. This gives a great look outside the box to cause the child to think outside the box!

This book is small thin and very pricey but it has good questions. My daughter used this and scored in the 99th percentile nationally

This book was purchased for an 8 year old incoming 4th grader. He had no prior knowledge of analogies. This book is an amazing introduction and ongoing reinforcement of all types of analogies.

I have these in the car. I take these to restaurants, Doctor’s offices, or any place we have to wait to do with my kids instead of video games. My kids love these.

I purchased this book to give my son an idea of what to expect on a standardized test he was preparing to take. I was very happy with the examples given in the book. He was presented with numerous analogy forms and became familiar with how to read and interpret them accordingly.

I purchased books from several publishers and they mostly sucked. This book was great. Lots of content and truly excellent value at this price point. Kudos to the authors!

I like how this thing covers the different types of analogies. I don't like how thin it is.

I bought this book for my very smart nine year old granddaughter. She has been using what she has learnt from it to run rings around her parents rules.I have heard her tell her father(my son ) that his arguments are illogical and baseless. as a doting grandfather this has given me great amusement. Every child should be taught critical thinking, although it would mean that parents would need to learn it too. The old standby parental answer "because I say so " just won't cut it any more.
