Q: I have 40hips 35 waist. Would a large fit snug?

Hi, I have a 39 inch hip and 35 inch waist and purchased a large. It fits comfortably with some room, so you should be okay with a large as well. The drawstring is perfect with elastic as well so that helps with fit too. They are very comfortable for a warm day run or hike. Be careful when washing use cold water and only dry delicate for 20 minutes then hang to finish drying as they can shrink.

It's on the page. If you look at the small windows on the left of the page, you will see the bottom one has the size chart. I returned these because they were pretty baggy.
