Works ok

Save your money! I purchased this and used it on a stained and varnished coffee table that needed to be refinished. It barely lifted any layer of existing finish, and only in a small area of the table, far from its entirety. This is a waste of money! To add insult to injury, it arrived already having been opened by someone else (my guess is that that person used it and experienced the same problem) so don't know how it shipped to me at all (no quality assurance/control), and Amazon will not allow its return.

This works well but has an awful strong smell.

Yea it slightly bubbles the finish your trying to remove. The old school removers really worked well, this new stuff? Ehh, kinda, sorta does something. But not very well.

I bought a house recently the former owner built himself. The ceiling (upper left corner of photo) and most of the walls are wood. However someone painted the stair rails and trim in a flat dark rust color. I don't like it. I decided to strip and go back to the natural wood. It will compliment the not bright green much better. This stripper works great! I didn't notice it smelling that bad. You do only have a couple of minutes before you need to start scraping it off or it dries up. I used a dry paper towel first and then went over it with a clean damp rag. I think I will also use a wire brush going forward because there is still some paint in some crevices but that is not the fault of the stripper. That being said there is only one coat of paint on those. I am also stripping a chair someone painted in multiple coats of red paint I found in the garage I am stripping as well. You will have to probably do multiple applications to get through thick paint but you would with any stripper. The chair is after two applications on the back and seat. Very pleased.

I tried it on a drawer before trying it on my whole cabinet. I showed the project in the first picture and in the 2nd picture I put the product on for a timed 2 minutes. I used a scraper that I bought off of Amazon and you can see by the picture it took half the paint off. The part that has the paint was originally a napkin picture put on my modge podge with several coats. So I put another layer of the paint remover and set the timer for 2 minutes. And it scraped right off the no pressure of the scraper!! I love this paint remover!! It was easy to clean my scraper tool afterwards too. I was shocked how quickly I was done! I can’t wait to start the big project! I definitely recommend this product!!
