BOHS Wooden Sudoku Board Game for Adults and Kids, 100-Puzzle Book

Gave this as a gift to my Dad who loves Sudoku books. It was a hit. He has called me more than once to thank me.

The game is of good quality and has 100 fun puzzles to solve.

I love this wooden Sudoku board game. I was pleasantly surprised to find it to be smaller in size than expected (measures about 22.25 cm x 22.25 cm); very manageable to use. It will be nice to leave out in between solving puzzles. The grid board is simple and easy to see and holds the tiles securely. The blue colored divisions on the board make the nine holed grid areas easy to distinguish; very user friendly. The appearance and craftsmanship is attractive, functional, and well made. The wooden board is smooth; the tiles are readable, smooth and neatly stored in drawer compartments. I am very happy with this purchase. The package came in excellent condition. I would recommend to friends, family and be more than comfortable giving it as a gift. Looking forward to many hours of paperless Sudoku. Thank you to Bohs for offering this product!

I really wanted to find a wooden sudoku board game that was handmade with quality workmanship, but they don't seem to exist, which I don't understand. Manufacturers produce higher-end game sets for backgammon, scrabble, chess, and monopoly, so why isn't there one for sudoku? I guess there just isn't a market for them right now, but I will be on the look out for when the time comes. Anywho, I settled for this one by BOHS and it looks like all the other ones produced in China. However, the difference is that the reviews for this particular set are very positive and that was ultimately the deciding factor! First of all, it arrived VERY quickly! It was shipped on Monday, delivered to my home three days later and is in perfect condition with all the pieces. The set has a drawer with dividers for the tiles, so everything is well organized and at my fingertips when I play the game. Also, there's a space in the drawer for the sudoku puzzle book and 18 extra tiles, which will come in handy. So far I've been playing the game a lot and find it so much easier than having to use paper and pencil to solve the puzzle. No more erasing! Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and it makes solving sudoku puzzles a lot easier!

Good for all ages... Great tool to use for working out puzzles

Extremely well made - Like a little Scrabble board with tiles and the well designed grid. Maybe it's the 3-dimensional aspect of looking at the puzzle, or maybe it's the fact that you can quickly see what numbers are still lacking, or maybe it's a combination (or maybe just my imagination) BUT altogether, it makes for a great puzzle-solving solution. I try the various paper puzzles, and if I can't finish 'em, I tear out the puzzle, and set it up on my board and work it until I get it right. Black numbers for the preset, Red numbers for the ones you put in, and for the "questionables/maybes" I put on the grid sideways (in red) so if I hit a "non-workable" solution, I know which ones to remove and start over again. Like I said, I'm hitting 100% - great fun! If you're hooked on Sudoku, this is a great investment. (just be careful, the drawer that holds the tiles isn't clearly marked; it's the side of the grid that has the "BOHS" stamped on it... Pay attention or the tiles may easily spill out!) :-) P.S. The name “sudoku” is abbreviated from the Japanese suuji wa dokushin ni kagiru, which means “the numbers (or digits) must remain single.”

I love that there is built in storage for the pieces. That makes it easier to use and makes it super travel friendly. This was a gift for my daughter and she’s loving it. We are often at different wrestling tournaments and this is perfect to keep her busy on the go without starting at a phone or iPad screen. She also start red creating her own puzzles to challenge herself and her friends more. Love it!

Got 2 of these for relatives, they love the game. It is fun, great quality.

Dieses Spiel ist unglaublich gut. Hier haben wir es mit Holzmaterie zu tun. Die für die einzelnen Spielvarianten Vorgaben sind erstmal auszulegen, bevor das Spiel überhaupt beginnen kann. Und dann habe ich materielle Holz-Zahlen in der Hand, mit denen ich umgehen und spielen kann. Das gefällt mir sehr und mir fehlen keine „Plings“ für evtl. Fehler und auch nicht irgendeine von Werbung unterbrochene Score- oder IQ- Bewertung aus der „virtuellen Welt“. Die Steine lassen sich gut anfassen und positionieren. Wenn man sich nicht sicher ist, kann man die andere Seite mit der Farbe rot wählen oder die Zahl über zwei Kästchen positionieren. Lösungen gibt es im Heft natürlich auch. Dieses Spiel kann ich wärmstens empfehlen zum Abschalten und Entspannen. (Bin 66 - kurz nach Rentenbeginn - Kopf hätte gern Arbeit… - hat er jetzt in einem Modus, der entspannt😊)
