This low profile mini fuse adaptor is for anyone trying to figure out how to add switched power accessories to a Toyota car or truck. I had a different fuse adaptor that I picked up at the Auto Parts store. While it worked, the part of the adaptor that inserts in the fuse box did not fit right and could be jostled loose, causing unreliabilities. O'Reilly's did not have this low profile mini adaptor type. This one plugs into a low profile mini fuse box. My Tacoma had a couple of blank slots in the interior fuse block. I plugged the adaptor into one of these blank slots and inserted a fuse only in the top slot. The fuse is powered when I turn the ignition on. If you don't have a blank fuse slot, don't worry! You take out one of the existing fuses, plug this into the slot and use the original fuse in the lower of the two spaces in the adaptor. The fuse for the new accessory plugs into the top slot. The set comes with about half a dozen 5 amp fuses. No other capacities. I don't know if it's because exceeding the 5 amps is not recommended. The description rates this at 5 amps. I think the wire size is 18AWG. My application was less than 5 amps. The adaptor fit my Toyota Tacoma fuse box perfectly. I have an fuse box cover that has slots to allow the wire to extend out the side of the box to serve the loads. The adaptor is made with good quality components and comes with a crimp connector for wire extending to the load. The other thing I really appreciated was that I ordered it on July 11 and received it in Hawaii July 13. I bought ten of these for about what I would have paid for just one (if they had it) at O'Reilly's. What a great value! I highly recommend this for any car or truck with a low-profile mini fuse box. Look at the images on the listing if you're unsure of the fuse type you need.

Does not work with RedTiger dash cam. This review is informational only. I bought it because one of the pieces from the redtiger set keeps falling out of the fuse box (fuse portion too short). On these everything appears perfect except the end piece that attaches to the red tiger dashcam set is too small and does not work. I even tried removing the end piece from a redtiger (of a different fuse type) but the redtiger attachment breaks off and can't be re-used. Wish it did.

Some were they screw my other i need the super mini fuse adapter not the mini I'm keeping it because I have 2 more car's I'll just other it again super mini pack this is a good product no complain just srew my order but I'm good with it I'll use them somewhere. I recommend them it came like in a week . Enjoy 😉. I just pich the super low profile mini fuse adapter i pray they don't screw it up this time I will return it asap .

These are simple devices that are great at the job of adding a circuit without complex wire changes or splices.

Used these to hardwire a dashcam (Viofo A229 Plus) and a Radar Detector (Escort 360c Max). Installation was super straight forward. Given that it’s something that I’ve NEVER done before, and I completed both in like 40-60 minutes only using ChatGPT, I’d say it’s pretty easy. I guess I will update this review when it comes to longevity, but for now they work as described.. no issues with quality or connectivity.. Overall no complaints! 👍🏼👍🏼

It's a good way to expand your fuse box

Still the easiest way to add a wire to power an accessory.

I like the guage wire they use to handle higher currents. I only used a 3A fuse, but these will work well with light kits! I used 2 of these to install an illuminated garage door opener switch in my truck.

Compre los tap para conectar un dashcam para que pueda grabar en impacto o movimiento cuando el carro está apagado. El plan original era usar el clamp que viene para juntar el tap con el arnés de dashcam, pero el cable que salía del arnés del dashcam estaba muy delgadito y se salía, mejor lo corte y los soldé juntos. A partir de ahí todo bien, cupo bien en la caja de fusibles y como en mi carro los fusibles se montan mirando para el piso, debajo del tablero, no he tenido problema de que se intente salir o que este flojo después de 4 o 5 meses ya instalado
