Great way to teach students about germs
I'm a school nurse and at the beginning of each school year I do a presentation in each elementary classroom on the importance of hand washing and how germs are EVERYWHERE! I "share" my lotion with the students and then show them my "pretend" germs with a black light. Afterwards I have them wash their hands and check to see how well they got rid of the germs. They think it's the coolest thing ever! For the rest of the year, the students tell me how much they've washed their hands.
