I bought this 20m SLx outdoor extension lead mainly for using garden equipment and my pressure washer outside, and so far it’s worked really well.The cable feels durable and well made, and the waterproof socket cover gives extra reassurance when using it outdoors. The 20m length is ideal as it gives plenty of reach around the garden without needing additional extensions.I found it easy to unravel and coil back up afterwards, and the bright colour makes it easy to spot outside which helps avoid trip hazards. The plug and socket connections feel secure and I’ve had no issues with power cuts or loose fittings during use.It’s a simple product, but it feels reliable and much sturdier than some cheaper extension leads I’ve used in the past. Bought for outdoor charging of cars primarily. Works well with a thermal cut out for safety. Ignore ill informed reviews on here that this item cuts out on them, it's supposed to if you dont unravel the whole cable.Simply unravel the whole cable and you can charge freely, the build up of heat if you dont brings the thermal cut out into play.I have found the item excellent in wet, cold and damp conditions as long as some effort is made to protect it such as putting it under the vehicle. It is IP rated but i would not just leave it in direct rainfall.Overall very good product and suitable for car charging out doors if that's your aim.Plenty of length, easy to rewind also and fairly lightweight. Good value for money.

I have recently moved into a house with a huge garden. It's long and narrow and we have no power outside. I wanted to be able to use all my electric tools, chainsaw, lawnmower, shredder, so I purchased this. I recently used it over a long weekend shredding and chopping the ivy and elder out of the end of the garden, it did a great job. The cord is easy to roll out and back in again, it's sturdy and strong plastic, the water resistant seals over the plug sockets are really useful in the winter when everything is so soggy, and the unit is nice and compact for storage. I am sure I will get many years use out of this. My only issue with it is that the power lead from the house to the reel is BLACK. This isn't ideal as really you want the electric wire to be brightly coloured so that it can't be missed. In my soggy, muddy garden at this time of year the black lead was easy to lose especially as the skies are grey and the light is not good. If I was mowing the lawn or using a strimmer I would have to be alot more careful about placing and marking the lead so that it's easily visible. Ideally the lead would have been striped or bright orange. But overall it's very good value and essential bit of kit if you need to keep your garden tidy and not install outdoor sockets.

Great use in the garden all the time

I wanted a nee extension cable and waterproof this is both and big its quite a weight but that's good as it means sturdy the cable take two plugs uk standard and hard two covers that have a lock so this wont tip over and plugs come out i like that it bright yellow so not easy to lose if used indoors ig you go toilet in the dark and go past this your toes will surely find this beast seems fairly heavy duty and would expect this on building sites its that big and solid would I recommend this yeah without a shadow of doubt
