Can it be used to protect existing kitchen tiles behind the hob & is it removable

The area would need to be totally free of any grease etc to allow the product to stick, if there is a grout gap between each tile i dont think it will stick very well. The covering on a normal flat surface though looks amazing, it sticks very well ,i dont think it would be easily removable. We are really pleased with the surfaces we covered in our bathroom.

I applied mine to a painted tiled surface and it's still stuck to it so think its should stick to no painted to

can this product be used around a shower instead of tiles?

It might show the lines of the tiles through the paper unless the tiles are flat or you fill in the grout lines more. I’ve used this type of paper in the kitchen and it is waterproof and it doesn’t peel around areas with water, Like the sink so don’t see much issue with it. You would just have to clean it and make sure it’s applied properly

Can you use it on painted walls?

I used this to back my fireplace. It's very sticky and easy to apply, but I'd say it does need to be a smooth and 'bump free' surface to get the desired effect. Whether it would work on paint, I'm not 100% sure as I used it on smooth wood.
