I bought this bat recently and it has hollow sound when hitting the ball. I'm thinking about returning it. Please advise

I bought one for my 10 yr old son, to replace his 2. One of the improvements of the 3 is improved control, which he reports too. The bat does make a quite different sound to the two, hollow versus a more solid knock. Initially, we both had reservations but he swears by it now. Give it a go, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Is this bat better than the palio] 3 star table tennis bat?

I have found this bat very good, think my strokes have improved, and enjoy using it. Took a little time to get used to it, after my first one, but really like it now.

Three ply, same as the 2.0 but, the two, thinner outer plies are thinner than on the 2.0, so the overall thickness is about 0.5 mm thinner. The 3.0 sounds different and is slower, to improve control.
