Figuring out how to install this was easy. I have never done anything... constructively or install things, but I figured this out and it has protected my outlet so I must have done something right (I was also replacing one so I didnt have to find the hole to drill). I know this because the seal is good and my outlets haven't tripped since, and there have been pretty bad rain storms. I debated giving this 4 stars due to the trouble of removing the cover to change the direction. It was really hard to take off the hinges to change from vertical to horizontal, so much so I even broke a fingernail doing it. But that goes to show how sturdy it is, it is strong and that is something you would want in something that is outdoors. So five stars it is.

Overall not to bad but you have to cut out or use pliers with lots of strength behind them to pull out these very secure tabs for your cords, to run out of the outlet thing they don't do it for you. Makes no sense. They are not breakaway tabs like they suggest they are, and the pictures are deceiving because you can't put the cords in there.Until you do it yourself.So it's not sold that way

I installed this weatherproof outlet cover on the wall in the backyard. You don’t have to worry about rain getting the outlet wet, and it also looks great.

Fits perfectly and easy to install

I installed these on my outdoor outlets to handle the winter weather here in Northern Idaho. The build quality is excellent—very rigid and the seal is tight. They have enough "room" inside to allow cords to stay plugged in while the cover is fully closed. In areas with extreme temperatures and heavy snow, you need something tougher than the basic plastic covers, and these Intermatic units feel like they’ll last for years.

The Intermatic WP3100C weatherproof outlet cover is okay, but not as sturdy as I expected. The plastic feels pretty flimsy and bends easily during installation, which made it harder to get a snug fit. It also doesn’t snap closed as securely as I’d like, so I’m not totally confident in how well it will hold up long-term outdoors. On the positive side, it does come with all the standard screws and accessories you need, which makes installation straightforward. The wire path for cords exiting the cover is also designed decently and accommodates cables without too much hassle. Overall, it works, but the build quality could definitely be better. I’d consider other options if you want something more solid.

Works great and price was fair in comparison to big box stores. Quality seems to be good and lasting through all seasons of Canada's weather

This outdoor outlet cover has been great for keeping plugs safe from rain and snow. It feels sturdy, seals well, and gives me peace of mind knowing everything’s protected outside. Installation was simple, and it doesn’t look bulky or out of place. Definitely worth it if you need a solid weatherproofing solution for your outlets.

Fit and looks great

Great product and was easy to install if you know what you’re doing already. There was a lack of instructions but if you know what you’re doing you’ll be fine. Other then that it’s great and the weather seal is perfect.

Quick install, has kept water out over a windy, snowy winter.
