Question 1

I have one 1/4" tube weaving in line for my hedge....do these work in-line with the 1/4" tubing to spot water exactly where needed??

Accepted Answer

Yes, they work "in line" because they are pressure compensating. Be aware that they best work between 15 and 35 PSI, secondly @ 30 PSI and 30ft long, a 1/4 in line will have a flow of about 15 to 20 gallon per hour, hence you cannot put 50 drippers on the same 1/4 line (50 x 0.5 GPH = 25 GPH. You are then above the Max flow) If you need long lines of 0.5 GPH, look for "perforated tape @ 0.5 GPH" If you can't find here, ask me for the link. If you have "dirty water" I would then recommend Antelco drippers, because they are cleanable, The RainBird ones are not.I hope it helps Good luck

Question 2

Now that i have these which way do i install them? if i put the red part into 1/4 tube get drips, black end into tube a stream what is 2gph

Accepted Answer

2 gph is the flow rate. It stands for 2 gallons per hour.
Insert the black pointed tip into your 1/4" tubing, and the water comes out the opening in the red side.

Question 3

I can't find detailed info on this model on Rainbird's site. What is the appropriate water pressure range for these emitters?

Accepted Answer

Because of their pressure compensating design, you get the same amount of water using pressure ranges from 15 to 50 psi. Generally speaking, we usually recommend that you use a pressure regulator set at 30 psi in most drip applications where 1/4" tubing and fittings are involved. Excess pressure can cause the smaller fittings to come loose from the main line. Thanks for the question, and if we can be of further assistance, please give us a call 208-336-3747

Question 4

I see red and green drips 2gph.what is the difference?

Accepted Answer

Red is GPM, Black is 1 and Blue is 1/2 GPM
