The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (100th Anniversary Edition): With 100 Original Illustrations

This is a wonderful compilation of 12 of A. Conan Doyle's Holmes stories. The type is very easy to read, and I liked that there are sketches right in with the text.

This SeaWolf Press edition is a joy to read. The "Edition Information" at the beginning of the book states that "The text and illustrations in this edition are taken from the 1892 George Newnes, Ltd. London edition. The illustrations were done by Sidney Paget". More than simply "taken" but probably a photographic reprint of that edition. The 1892 Newnes edition in turn is probably a copy of the original The Strand Magazine stories. Well-produced edition that brings you right back to 1892 and the time of the original publication. This is the one to read and re-read.

Really well presented version of the stories. Illustrations and text are some of the best seen. Even if you already have a version, this is worth getting for that quality.

Nice edition with original pictures. I recomend all books from this edition but definitely hardcover.

This edition has all original illustrations and uses the original typeface I believe. If you want to have a nicely presented book as well as just reading the stories, this is a good example.

Still so enjoyable all these many years later.
