Don't leave home without it!
Bought this as an alternative to hauling a coffee maker in our van. A super versatile coffee not only for the convenience--superfine grind melts instantly--and the taste is really solid too. Mild taste, not bitter, and can be adjusted to be stronger by adding a bit more to the cup. It's become our go-to instant brew for travel and even at home when we're low on brewed beans. Don't bother with Keurig, Via, or others, they suck compared to this. A special shoutout and thanks to the dudes that created Alpine Start for making an instant coffee that kicks a$$.NOTE: we kept the little containers that used to ship with the coffee and refill them from the "pouch" that ships with the coffee now. Liked the containers a lot more than the ziplock-style pouch. Hard to keep grounds out of the zipper closure.ALSO - Would love to have them release a decaf version for family/friends that can't handle caffeine, would be easier to serve this than brew decaf for them.

Best Tasting & a Reasonable Price!
In the world of instant coffee, Alpine Start is the clear winner for me. I’ve tried a various coffee crystals - supermarket house brands, Starbucks, Mount Hagen, Deathwish, Nescafé, etc. Alpine Start delivers the smoothest flavor without bitterness or a burnt flavor. The taste isn’t overpowering, so if you typically like a dark, strong roast you may find it a little weak. It also isn’t the same as freshly ground coffee. Nothing compares to that, right? But as a quick, easy to make and portable alternative, this is good stuff. The price point is mid-range; a bit more costly than the blah, flavorless, mass production stuff, but definitely more affordable than the specialty, small batch stuff ($3-$5 per cup…ouch!).I now buy Alpine Start in a jar (loose crystals) to use around the house or when car camping. The individual packets are still a better choice for backpacking or when you’re on the move.Thumbs up for Alpine Start!

Good coffee - wish it was a darker roast
Far better than off the shelf freeze dried coffees. Added a tiny bit of dried milk powder and had a welcome warm cup at 4500m each morning in the Andes. Wish it was a darker roast.

THE best instant coffee that I have found
Best instant coffee, thus far. Extremely fine powder grind will dissolve in hot or cold water. Taste is not bitter and can regulate the strength to your liking. Not flavored. Definitely not gas station coffee, some people like that coffee. I do not. Better to transfer into a jar for home use or car camping if the pouch sealing is an issue.

Really Does Taste Like Coffee
This is the only instant coffee I've ever drunk that actually tastes like coffee. It mixes very well and has a nice rich flavor. I will continue to buy. Very favorably impressed with the quality.

Bought this for camping and it was perfect. Got home and reordered for my next trip. Expensive but worth it.

Tastes like A$$
I love Alpine start. The coffee out out the individual tubes is great. The coffee out of this bag is horrible and undrinkable.
