They are blue...they also have black too..just make sure before you buy them. Its in blue for the color..

Are these pens bleed through paper free when being pressed too hard while writing/smudge free ?

These pens are amazing, write smoothly, and do not bleed.

Does the ink smear or rub off on shiny coated paper?

It has smeared on every surface I've written on. You are probably better off with an ultra fine point sharpie type pen on glossy paper
