Great sealing rings!
These Tattler sealing rings are very dependable and I have had no problems with the jars leaking or losing their seals. Only time will tell how long they will last with me as I am not the gentlest person when opening things. But I have not damaged any yet when opening jars. So that is the reason why I have bought extra rings-just to be prepared!

Wide Mouth Has Many Other Uses.
Tattler ~ 12 Wide Mouth Rubber Rings (only)Our need for Tattler's rubber rings is likely different from many. We're already pretty well set with canning items.But we use this wide mouth ring on many different jars in our fruit jar collection.This ring fits Ball's ~ wire closure, glass lids circa WW I ~ andBall's ~ metal band/glass insert approx 1942 - 1955, plus other Ball & many other brandsthat require the same set-up and size.(These Tattler's regular & wide mouth rings fit regular & wide mouth antique jars)Not for the same use or purpose as jar rubber rings with the tab, won't work in-place of them.This ring is only approx 2/3 rd as wide & 1/2 as thick.It also fits many current products in our cupboard, providing a better seal for freshness.Among others ~ this wide mouth is the exact size to add in the plastic lid of Orrington Farmsbeef flavored seasoning we use.We keep both regular & wide mouth rings on hand to seal anything and everything we come acrossthat these rings will fit, both glass jars & plastic.

Anyone that cans food knows that the difference in size for the sealing rings is not pint/half pint, but rather Regular vs Wide Mouth. So, that is where the buyer must pay attention. The ones I purchased were wide mouth (we have cats that steal them from time to time), and we needed some replacements. These are the wide mouth (according to the box) and what I ordered. I love the fact that we have finally evolved enough to understand that we can retain the pieces (like we did in WWI and WWII) and not fill our landfills with cheap metal and some rubberized crap.For me, these are the perfect solution (even with the cats). I love these things (reduces lending too).

Necessary accessory for reusing your tattler lids. The rings dry out and can't be reused more than a couple times.
