I am 32 and never had a kid. I would get terrible night sweats every night and my mood was very erratic. I tried another cream, but it only seemed to make me feel worse. I read "Sex, Lies and Menopause" and think I am perimenopausal. When I finally saw a doctor she recommended this cream. She uses this cream on herself and I have been as well. I use 1/4tsp on the insides of my arms and legs twice a day. My doctor says it's important to switch off areas so I don't build up dominance in one spot. I think I might use this stuff for the rest of my life, because I notice an immediate difference if I don't take it!Edit (1/1/13): I still use this cream twice a day. If I go without it for a half a day I will notice that I get a little anxious/moody. I tried the Emerita progesterone cream since writing this review in an effort of saving money, but it was not nearly as good as this brand is. Also, some women stop taking this during their menstrual cycle, but I apply it twice a day every day and still get periods.Update (6-16-16) I'm 37 now and quit the cream a month ago to see if I could go without it. I've done that a few times, but kept getting intense night sweats so I'd always go back and have to apply it every day, which is more than what the directions call for.Well, this time I did not get night sweats so I went until my period to see how I felt. I am on day 2 of my period and I vomited last night. The nausea is so intense and I recall vomiting monthly for a half a year right before I found this cream. I think I didn't mention that before because I was embarrassed, but I don't care anymore if I think it'll help someone.So, I plan to start applying this cream again, but to only apply it as the directions state, which is not every day, as I had been applying it, since it seems the intense night sweats have subsided. Menstruating women are directed to take it on days 12-26 of their cycles. Hopefully it makes this debilitating nausea during my period go away again!(Update 7/2016) I'm so glad I started up using this product every day this past month. My period is back to normal! No nausea/vomiting, milder cramps. Thank goodness for this product!!!I was so scared after being sick for three days in a row during my last period, so I decided to use it every day, which is what my doctor said I could do back when I first started it. I still menstruate just fine. I've never missed a period.(Update 4/21/2020)Now that I take Evening Primrose Oil, mint and ginger regularly the pain of my cramps seems better. When I feel my period will start soon (PMSing) I now stop using Kokoro and it seems like the periods seem stronger, but not the cramps. I will continue following the directions. Also, I started buying the bigger version of this and squeezing it into the jar since it's a little cheaper that way. ;)8/2022 Update: Well not sure what happened but I started getting sick during my cycle again regularly. It was so annoying to literally be so sick that I was throwing up every month. Therefore I decided to go on birth control and I am so glad I did. This cream worked great for me for a long time but I don’t think I’ll be going back to it again.

I am 51. My lining was thickening and thickening, but not shedding. So, I was having very irregular periods with sometimes heavy flow, and then nothing, then heavy several days later, then nothing, and the lining was not shedding all the way, so much so that I needed an emergency D&C. I started progesterone pills prescribed by my doctor. I took them the last 5 days of my cycle (the best that I could tell anyway) and then stopped. That started a normal period. But, I was still having break-through bleeding in the middle of the cycle, and the pills caused me to get a red, itchy face and neck, so severe that people would wonder what was wrong with my face. So, I decided to try the Kokoro cream. I chose it because it has bioidentical progesterone. It is a little higher priced than some of the other ones available, but it is very important to have bioidentical progesterone from wild yam. I used 1/4 teaspoon on days 12-26 of my cycle, and I didn't even bleed once. My period came right on day 29, and was a normal period. Yay! I also had a better libido, no cramping, and absolutely no bleeding before day 29. My hot flashes were very mild also, and no itchy red face and neck. I love this stuff! I will definately keep using it until I am in full menopause, and may even use it after that for a while. Now I am adding to this review 2 years later. I am still using the cream, and it is still working perfectly. It is extremely important not to miss a dose.

I had been searching for something natural to help with my non-existing menstrual cycles. (I diagnosed myself with insulin resistance.) The birth control pills that I used for about 10 years to have a cycle only made me sick and sicker. This stuff is wonderful. I'm 49 and my cycles comes every 30-40 days. It doesn't make me sick and I don't have cramps. The only thing I noticed is that I feel slightly bloated during this time, but that's the only complaint. I use it starting on day 10 and stop when the cycle begins. Also, I use herbs as an extra help with my cycle (also sold by Amazon/Banyan Products): shilajit, shatavarri, womens support. These herbs are supposed to help with menopause symptoms also. I have done a lot of online research and helped myself. My OB/GYN doctor has tested me and everything has resulted in normal. Only been using for few days so not sure if it is helping with menopause symptoms yet, ok I finished the cream and was really really wanting this to help me with menopause symptoms but it didn't. I used sometimes on my neck and my skin feels very strange almost like a sore from sun burn. I am not buying again as I didn't have any relief from hot flashes at all.

I have never reviewed anything on Amazon before but this product is so good that I felt that I had to throw in my two cents. I have suffered, and I do mean suffered, hot flashes for thirteen years. They interrupt my sleep nearly every hour all night long. Tried HRT for about three months but that gave me side effects that were very unpleasant and I dropped it. I ran across this cream on Amazon by accident and since the reviews were so good I bought two jars and have used it for two months. Hot flashes are 90% gone, the ones I do have are very mild, not the killers I had that made me want to tear off my clothes and run out into the snow. I sleep like a baby through the night with no tossing and turning and kicking off of covers. I used to have bad headaches nearly every afternoon and they are 95% gone, such a relief. I never had much in the way of mood swings but I do feel much more cheerful and while that may have to do more with the lack of headaches and better sleep patterns I still credit this product. At the price asked I still believe it to be a bargain. Using the one eighth teaspoon twice daily this two ounce jar will likely last about three months, possibly a bit more. I use the product as the directions state, taking a week off every three weeks for non-menstruating women. I expected the hot flashes and headaches to come back, but the product must stay in your system because I did notice an increase in them, but not to the levels I had experienced them before starting use of this product. I put the product on my face and neck and my skin has improved in texture and clearity. The small lines around my eyes are lessened and my skin is very soft. Give this product a try, I hope it works for you as well as it has for me. I will be a costomer for life, that is for sure.
