Our old digital thermometer was not accurate, reading all kinds of low temperatures in the low 97s, so I bought this one hoping for more accuracy and was not disappointed. Great thermometer! Super easy: you just hold the flat top part against your forehead, press and hold the front temperature button and then move the thermometer across your forehead to your temple. Then let go of the power temperature button and it beeps to let you know it has read your temperature. It takes about 1 second from the time you touch it to your forehead to when it tells your temperature. That's fast! Your tempurature is displayed in big, easy to read numbers on the front screen. It also has an attachment that allows you to check temperature in your ear, but we don't use that. It has a Mode button for when you want to check the room temperature. It can also check the temperature of a baby bottle, etc., but that's not something we'll use. Just having an accurate, easy to use thermometer is all we want! Now our temperature readings are consistent and range from 98.2 -98.7 like they are supposed to be. We are now confident it will detect a low grade fever, unlike our old thermometer.

Bought this thermometer for my infusion clinic over 18 months ago. Been using it almost daily ever since. I find that it is super easy to use, quick, painless, & conveniently easy to store away in its own little bag. Being a Advanced Practice Nurse Anesthetist, I’ve used various types of thermometers over my 29yr career. I can honestly say that this is probably one of the most accurate thermometers I’ve seen or worked with. I’ve had numerous issues with the temporal thermometers at the hospital. Nothing worse than needing to know a temp on a pt & not being able to get it to work correctly. Was disappointed the other day when my original thermometer started malfunctioning. Realized I hadn’t changed the batteries in it since I purchased it 18 months ago. Now it works like new and I just purchased another one. Read the quick User Guide this time & realized that this thermometer can do ear probe temps too by popping off the top cover. WOW! It also can read the room air temp too. (Not sure why I’d need that but nevertheless) So wished I could’ve had this when my kids were little. Glad I found it now! U won’t regret buying this one for your home or office but do read the user guide to make sure you’re using it correctly.

Device came as expected, with bonus of polyester felt storage sleeve, and was relatively easy to use within 2 minutes. Device appears relatively precise, with multiple repeat readings all within 0.3 F range. Only difficulty was ensuring appropriate timing/coordination between placing device in forehead/scanning across temple & pressing the temperature button. When the button was pressed too early (before contact with forehead), it read the room temp, which wasn’t reported but instead reported “lo” temp. Conversely, when the button was pressed once contact with the forehead was made, and the button was held as I scanned across the temple, I appeared to get an appropriate reading, but the device began beeping before I was done, and continued beeping until I finished, making me somewhat uncertain as to whether it was taking multiple temperatures (ie every time it beeped), whether I was holding the button down “too long,” or whether I was scanning too fast/slow. An audio-interface that was less ambiguous, and clearer instructions on how to time button/scanning would make it a true 5-star device.

I finally joined the 21st Century and ordered this Chooseen Infrared digital thermometer, replacing my 10-year-old oral thermometer. Don't know why I hadn't done this sooner. This thermometer is convenient and easy to use. As a senior I sometimes struggle with learning how to use today's electronics, but this was very easy. Just push a button, swipe across forehead and bingo, an instant temperature reading. It's like magic! I like the design. It fits snugly in the hand, the button is conveniently located and the lighted digital display is easy to read. Plus the display will change colors based on your temperature reading with green being normal, yellow being mild fever and red meaning high fever. "AAA" batteries are included and installed but are not activated until you pull out a tab protruding from the battery compartment door, so you know they are fresh. Plus the popular "AAA" size is sold everywhere and will be easy to replace. It's enclosed in a very nice suede-like bag with drawstrings for safe storage. And best yet, it was very reasonably priced. I'm happy with this purchase. Oops, forgot to mention that you can also use this if you want to know the temperature of the room you are in. Neat!

We have to check our temperatures before going to work/school. The freebie flimsy required 60 seconds to get a reading, and some days it registered nothing at all. The oral electronic thermometer was fine, but also took almost a minute to get a reading (and, of course, had to be cleaned well). Too much time when there are 2-3 of us trying to get out the door at once. The infrared thermometer registers a temperature in 3-5 seconds, and aside from a quick wipe, it doesn't need to be cleaned (because it's not going in anyone's mouth). It's pretty consistent in the readings it gives, and it's easy to read. It's comfortable to hold. It's fairly easy to use: you put it to your forehead, depress and hold the button, run the thermometer across your forehead to your temple, and then let go of the button. It has other modes too (measure temperature in the ear, measure the temperature of an object in the room). We haven't used those other modes, but I imagine some people might like the extra features. Quick and easy--just what we needed.
