Yes, the clay alone can be sun dried and used in pots for planting. Since we are using wool to strengthen the idol made out of clay, this molded clay with wool is not recommended to be used for planting.

Wool acts as a binder. It does not allow cracks or hairlines to form at curvy as well as flat faces.
