Can you change the batteries

Yes, its a bit difficult to remove the top section, it is pressed on and not glued, so pulling and twisting is required, but there are 3 x LR41 button cells which MUST be replaced the right way round !!! , flat bottom facing the spring. Easier if you Insert the 3rd battery in-between the other two DONT use any metalic object to remove or assist in inserting the batteries - you will short it out and discharge the cell in seconds.

How do i change the batteries?

VERY carefully by an adult ! lever, twist, pull the top section off and remove the battery module. MAKE SURE that the white plastic TAB is removed first -( this is only used to separate batteries in transit and probably the cause of many complaints that the pen 'doesnt work') Use a NON metallic object to pop out the old batteries making sure the spring stays in place. The batteries are 3 x LR41 button cells. When replacing make sure the flat bottom of the cell faces the spring and they are all inserted the SAME way round. The last cell should be inserted in between the other two, separating them with something PLASTIC, like a fork prong or similar - DONT use anything metallic, you will short out the cell and it will be discharged in seconds!!! Put the module back into the pen with the button in line with the pen housing button. Press the top back on firmly, making sure the UV LED aligns with the cap hole. Voila !! I know this as I took one apart to find out what batteries would be needed in the future
