Pop corn is just like the movie theaters!

Once we started hearing how bad microwave popcorn can be for you we decided to switch. We had tried an air popper but I did not like it. My husband wanted one similar to one at the movie theaters but space is somewhat of a challenge in our kitchen. I found the Pop Pup, read the reviews and decided that we should try it. I am happy to say that we are not in the least disappointed. First and foremost it produces excellent popcorn. I purchased Snappy Popcorn Supplies, Colored Coconut Oil, Gold Medal Prod. 2045 Flavacol Seasoning Popcorn Salt and Arrowhead Mills Organic Whole Yellow Popcorn, turned the Pop Pup into our very own popcorn marvel. My husband would like to add butter but I think that it is fantastic just the way it is. Add to this that the machine is easy to use AND easy to clean and you just can't go wrong. Some of the reviews mentioned the amount of popcorn that the Pop Pup can produce at once is small or not enough. For us, it is the perfect amount. There are usually two or three of us sharing, two adults and one teenager and there has only been one time that we popped a second batch. If you want to pop a large amount at one time then you probably want a bigger machine but for basic snacking of 1-3 people it is perfect and frankly it would be very easy to pop a second or third batch after your first. One of the things that I personally like about this popper is that it is fun, so much so that I look forward to using it. Anything that gives me the motivation to make and have a healthy snack rather than opening up a bag of chips gets five stars in my book..Anything that will motivate that members of my family to do the same deserves far more. You can get the Pop Pup and all you need to make terrific popcorn for under $60. What are you waiting for?

I like this Popper. A few things to know are when it starts popping a lot of the un-popped kernels will fly out of the popping pan from the force. To cut down on this I use 2 nickles. One on the back flap and one on the front flap of the pot to hold the lids down better. It helps a lot and more kernels get popped up. Not hard to use and cleans up easy enough. I have not had any corn burn in the pot one me. The only thing I will say is it says pops a gallon of popcorn and i really don't think that's accurate if your using the cups they provide. The best I get is a good size popcorn bag full for one person. Have not tried popping more in it as it may overload the motor. I use Sams Club popcorn packs with the Butter flavored Coconut that comes in the packs. The packs are too big for one popping in this machine so you have to break it down and use it for 2 sessions of popping. All in all mine arrived in good shape and everything works well.

This Little pop corn machine is exactly what I wanted for years! It’s a small 2.5in kettle makes about 1 large popcorn bucket of popcorn at a time. The only thing I would recommend is to buy Orville Redenbacher‘s popping oil and Amish popcorn kernels and Amish popcorn seasoning for the best results and easy cleanup! I used the manufacturers 2.5 ounce popcorn, pre-measured bag and the problem with that is the popcorn seeds have the salt already mixed in within the bag and that burns the kettle. The only issue is that I bought another lightbulb because I didn’t trust the one that came with it due to the other review’s that said that it broke while making popcorn or while it was on. I emailed the company, and this was the newer Modle versus the little Bambino and big Bambino. It’s nice to make fresh popcorn in our movies theater I did not want to by a larger machine due to the hassle of cleanup. I’m sure this will not last long but for now it’s a great value for the price and if I need to buy another one down the road it won’t be an expensive replacement. Also it did not come with little popcorn bag as a gimmick like for the Oder versions. This is also not a kids toy it gets very Hot!

It arrived well packed. I used it twice according to the instructions and it worked very well. Excellent for family sharing. The portions are small.

Great addition to our family. As much popcorn that we are constantly buying it only made sense for us to finally invest in one of these machines. I'm glad that we did... the boys love it and enjoy watching their snack get created. They each enjoy their own seasoning too (no more having to argue as to which flavor are we going to make). Our boys are 11 and 5 years old. The machine is quiet, lightweight, easy to clean, and setup was super easy as well (place the pot and the handle... everything else is all set... 2 minute installation process). The kernels come out popped and I would say no more than 5 kernels don't get popped compared to the 20 or so from the microwaveable bags. I like putting the oil in with some jalapenos (let the oil heat up like normal). The jalapenos get cooked while seasoning the oil so when I put the kernels in they come out with a nice soft spice to it. We also ordered some reusable plastic popcorn bags even though this item comes with like 50 disposable bag. I hear you can also get the plastic containers at the Dollar Tree but with everything on lockdown I just ordered it online. Yet another great reason to get this machine. Most of us can't leave the house yet so might as well enjoy some tasty snacks while you binge watch your favorite movies and shows. No worries with purchase either because the company has a great historical track record. Next on my list might be to order a hotdog and/or cotton candy machine from this company; heck I just might get both, lol.

I love popcorn, and this popper is fun and whimsical. The popcorn tastes good, and the popper is easy to use. So, why only 3 stars? Well, it makes tiny batches. The popper can only make about 1/3 of a cup of kernels at at time, which gives you a few cups of popcorn. When I make popcorn for my family, we have to run it several times. I previously had a dome popper that popped batches that were about 3 times as large. Since I make popcorn for family and friends and I enjoy it a lot myself, this is Also, although the handle works to dump out the popcorn, I have only been using the popper for about 6 weeks and there is already a 6-inch crack in the clear plastic housing around the popper. It isn't enough to compromise our ability to use it, but I am disappointed that it is so fragile for its intended use in such a short time. We'll use it until it breaks completely -- which, given the crack, could be a short or long time -- and then get a sturdier popper with more capacity. If you're less of a popcorn glutton than we are, you will love this machine.

It is a neat little machine and works good. I really need the movie theatre size version because our household goes through a lot of popcorn Cleaning is not that easy and takes a fair amount of time if you do it right.
