UltraSwim Chlorine Removal Shampoo, Moisturizing Formula, Safe for Color-Treated Hair, 7 fl oz (Pack of 2)

This shampoo seems to work well after swimming in a chlorinated pool. Price is right, delivery fast, overall a great product.

I have very long hair (falls to mid-back) and I swim laps 3-4x a week. This shampoo is amazing at getting rid of the chlorine in my hair! (Because wearing a cap doesn’t prevent the hair from getting wet!) I was really happy that I found it on Amazon - previously I found it at Walmart and was my bottle was recently running low, and I didn’t want to have to go back to Walmart to get it. Fast shipping, and the caps were taped over to make sure nothing leaked en-route! Highly recommend for anyone who swims! I have dark brown hair, never dyed, so not sure if this helps blonde hair to not turn green due to chlorine. I swim in the evenings so I just put my wet hair in a bun after I shower (and I shower in the mornings); I wouldn’t want to use this if I started my mornings swimming and had to go about my day after using this shampoo, though, because it is a moisturizing shampoo (for obvious reasons), and I have very oily skin and hair, so I stay away from shampoos that exacerbate that issue. But since I don’t style my hair after using this, it’s not an issue for me, but might be for others who also don’t like using moisturizing shampoo. EDIT: I noticed on the back of the bottle it does say it helps with blonde hair not turning green, for any ladies who were curious about that issue. JULY 2018 EDIT: Another thing I wanted to mention is that this shampoo really does take the chlorine smell out of your hair! The shampoo itself doesn’t have a special scent - other than just a soapy smell. I attached a photo of my hair type for reference. I’ve never dyed my hair so I’m not sure how this shampoo would affect dyed hair. My hair is fine and naturally straight and the shampoo works great getting the chlorine out.

I've tried so many shampoos to take the yellow out of my platinum gray hair to no avail. These were famous brands too. Then I started to go to the pool a couple of times a week and bought this stuff. Come Winter I stopped going to the pool and went back to using my expensive blue shampoos to remove the yellow with pitiful results. Then it dawned on me one day that the yellow might be froml the clorine in the water in our home. So, I decided to give this shampoo a try. What could I lose? Well, this is the best "anti-yellowing" shampoo available. It removed the harsh yellow from my hair and amazingly I don't even use conditioner now and my waist long hair is less tangled than ever. This product is outstanding and I am making it my only shampoo from here on. I wish I had known it would do this as I would have taken pictures but alas itis now to late to show my beautiful plantinum silver hair without the brassy yellow cast.

Haven’t been to the pool the last couple of weeks so I don’t know how well it handles chlorine. It does a nice job of cleaning and moisturizing my hair. Even after a hot humid day my girlfriend said my hair smelled good. I like it.

I started swimming laps for exercise and after a few weeks, your hair just isn't right. Well, I asked around and swimmers all told me to get this and use this after swimming. My hair feels normal again after swimming. Works great.

I'm in the pool at least twice a week and my hair had gotten really dry and crunchy from the chlorine. My curls had gotten so unruly and frizzy making detangling a nightmare! I was using another clarifying shampoo, but it did little to remedy the problem. I decided to try this as it is made for swimming, and I'll tell you in 1 shampoo it immediately made my hair so incredibly soft! It removed the chlorine buildup weighing down my hair and my curls came back so springy! This product is so amazing, and for the price you can't beat it!

I tried a bunch of different shampoos to remove the chlorine, especially the smell, from my hair after swimming. I swim twice a week and couldn't get the smell out, until I tried Ultraswim. I always also follow up my shampooing with a strong conditioner. I will warn that this is a very strong smelling shampoo. Not sure how to describe the smell, it's not floral but sort of perfumey, I'm not big on a lot of smells and I don't mind it. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if takes the chlorine out or just does such a great job at masking it with the smell. I can still smell it in my hair days afterwards (I also only shampoo every ~3 days unless I swam). But the I'll take this over the chlorine smell any day. Now if only I could find a body wash that works just as well. I would love suggestions!!!!

I swim in a chlorinated pool and so bought this to counter the chlorine build-up in my hair. It does do that job well, but because it is SO runny, you have to be careful not to pour too much out and waste product. Scent is okay--kind of an old-fashioned shampoo scent that is not my favorite. I definitely recommend using a conditioner after using this product.

Great shampoo for swimmers. I have been using this brand for years. Gentle for kids also. It is not too thick but it is not watery either. Gives a good lather. Scent is nice. There is no bright artificial colour added like I have seen in other brands and when trying to remove build up from your hair ie chlorine I am not looking to add a product with heavy added dyes for colour.

Have used this for years. Not available locally anymore. Very fast deliver. Courteous agent at door.

I started swimming recently on a daily basis and I found my hair becoming sticky and seems to have residue build up. Initially I thought it was my conditioner and changed it to another brand. The condition of my hair didn’t improve. So I changed my shampoo to deep cleansing shampoo. It only improved slightly. However, after my first use with Ultraswim shampoo, my hair feels free of residue and smooth. No more sticky feel and I don’t even need a conditioner. Excellent shampoo!

Great stuff. Highly recommend. I use it as a body wash as well.
