Will this work on a marlin model 70

Im not sure...i have a marlin 597 22lr and it fit. Looked at the pic of the tru glo in the amazon description and compared it to my front sight. The screw in the pic looked exactly like the one on my rifle so i took a chance.

Does it fit the thicker bull barrel?

The screw is too long and does not fit the Model 60 I bought it for. I sent it back to Amazon and got a different one from Brownell. One that also included a rear hi-vis for the same price,BUT it requires a gunsmith, whereas the Tru-Glo would not have.
