Zoizocp R410A Adapter 4 Pack, 5/16" SAE Female to 1/4" SAE Male Flare

I ordered this item to use to evacuate the system on a mini split that I also just purchased from Amazon. I read several of the reviews for it, so I was prepared to make any adjustments if necessary. But, none were needed. It did its job perfectly, and my new mini split is installed and working great!! Great price as well! Did not have any connection or leakage issues.

I bought these to use with my automotive manifold gauges so I could put a vacuum on my new Mini Split AC system and check it for leaks. These are the correct adaptors to do that. I found the quality of the adaptors to be ok, nothing great but for the price I cannot complain. The teflon like seal however I did have some issues with. I over tightened one fitting and ruined the seal, and the other fitting I was more careful with, tightening it just past where I could feel the seal compressing. I suspect if you use these multiple times the seal will flatten out and no longer work as well as it did new. For my uses and likely your uses too, these are fine.

Good fit works great

I only needed an adapter to do a one-time recharge on my mini-split, and this is just fine for that (and there's an extra for next time, if there is one). Huge props to the person who showed how to remove the white piece and replace it with the green gasket. I was able to pull the white one out with needle-nose after unscrewing the pusher and didn't need a dental tool, but for each his own. It made a great seal. You'll lose a small amount of gas when detaching it, but it's very small. It was reading roughly 50 psi when I hooked it up, I recharged it up to around 110, then I detached it and lost a little gas. When I reattached it to add a little more, it was still reading close to 110, so it's not a huge loss.

Had a leaky adaptor. Tried these, no more leak. What more could I ask for? I did change out the white seals with the green ones that came with them but im not positive that was necessary. I just like softer seals rather than harder ones.

This adapters leak so refrigerant would start to come out immediately. The oil in the leaked refrigerant would make it that much harder to tighten it to stop the leakage. It takes a lot of effort and over tightening to make it work. The gasket seems to be made of some hard plastic instead of rubber. Not sure what’s the reason for the choice of material. Would not recommend this product.

I’m a HVAC technician and decided to try these out because of the price and the good reviews. Used them once and they are all leaking. DONT BUY! Better off spending the extra money on Yellowjacket adaptors they will last 1000x longer.
