I have purchased 2 of these SF2K's . I bought the second light not long after the first, because INITIALLY these lights hold their own so to speak. The only issue, and hence why the 3 stars is, after about 1 year, the dimmer switch goes out. The light will flicker if it is used. Both of my lights still work on full power, but now I have no way to dim them and will have to purchase another light for my lower power needs. Very disappointing, but thankfully the second light's switch went out RIGHT, before I purchased a 3rd. UPDATE 10/8: A few days after leaving a review of the 2 SF2K's I purchased, Spider Farmer customer service reaches out to me. They were extremely courteous and helpful. After sending them a video of my issues, they offered to either fix them or send the appropriate parts for me to repair it myself. After watching the 2 repair videos they sent, I decided to accept the repair parts, as the repair looks really basic and simple. No special tools required or anything to that effect. That said, I've added a star to my previous rating. If these new parts last, I will surely raise my rating to 5 stars, as these lights are amazing when functioning properly. The brightness and spectrum are amazing and well worth the price imo. They produce very little heat, and the energy they consume are almost undetectable. Most importantly, I feel confident in their customer service at this point and will most likely purchase their SF4K. Update 10/15: Because of Spider Farmers most excellent customer service, not only have I added the 5th star, but I will most certainly be buying myself the SF4000 for Christmas. It's nice knowing your money is well spent. I think all initial purchases are a gamble, but Spider Farmer, I can honestly say, is a safe bet! Not to mention, these lights are POWERFUL. To the extent, you have to be sure not to blast your plants with TOO much lights. Use as directed and adjust accordingly.

I got this light at the beginning of the year to start my summer season crops indoors before the snow melted so I could get a jumpstart on the spring planting season. Its pretty damn nice!!! A little bummed they raised the price once they realized what they had, although they did add an external dimmer on the newest model which I totally wish mine had. The growth and yields are pretty dang nice, and it covers a 4x4 table very well!!! I have ran this against 600HPS in a magnum XXXL hood. ( our old commercial standard for 4x4 tables ) and it holds it own very well. I do wish the boards where a little farther apart and the whole unit was a little larger just an extra .75inches between the boards would have worked and really gave amazing coverage over a 4x4 without hurting anything IMO. Now is this an American Made HLG no no its not, BUT that doesn't mean its not a very good light for the money!!!!! With the new improvements such as the external dimmer dial, and daisy chainable dimmer control so 1 dimmer can run multiple units is a great feature for future upscaling. Now it does tend to run a bit hot to the touch, nothing like a non air-cooled HPS runs but still easily over 100 degrees farenheit. Also the cables and clips provided to hang it do work, but if you have lower ceilings or space is of a premium in your room/tent they can be a bit annoying as they take up about 8-10inches of additional space the way its designed. This is nothing that can't be worked around with a little creative thinking but is still a tad annoying none the less. Quality and yields ( for fragrant/medical flowers ) have been plenty nice, at 400-450watts power draw it tends to produce about 45-50 grams a sq. ft. depending on your style and of course genetics but still on par with running 600 HPS over the same table, same genetics, same everything only thing changed was the light. Long story short, if you need to cover a 4x4 and do it well, the SF-4000 is a solid performer!!!

I have been growing high quality weed for almost 10 years now and always had great success until 2019. I got bugs that I've never had before and it took me a long time to identify what I had and how serious it was, so in the end, I lost strains that I'd been cloning for 3-4 years. The bug was 'Hemp Russet Mites' and they are prevalent here because it is becoming a hemp capital rapidly. I figured it was time to upgrade my system. I bought a Bloombox from BC Northern lights several years ago. It's been a very good grow system, but as I learned to be a better grower, I've modded my box pretty heavy. I unwired the 400W HPS and wired this baby in. I made little feet so that it sits right on top of the glass inside the bloombox flower chamber light area. So when the bloombox computer turns the lights on, this LED upgrade comes on. The fans come on as normal, so it's continuously cooled by the Bloombox cooling fans. I've been using this for about a month and I love it very much. The growbox is much brighter. It uses about 177 Watts less than the 400W HPS before. So it runs cooler, uses less electricity and the plants love it. There is nothing to change, I just flip the switch from veg to flower (on the Bloombox) and it just changes the timing from 18 hours to 12 hours. The lighting from the growlight does not change between veg and flower. Only the timing (as provided by my growbox). In the enclosed pictures, I took a screenshot on Jan 31 of my two plants that I grew from seed. As you can see by the pics, they grew a lot in one month. This was all with the Spider lights. The last pic shows how well the flowers are doing, both male and female! I decided to cross breed so I hope to have seeds that are Girl Scout Cookies and Chemodo Dragon for my own strain. I feel like this light is so much better than the 400W HPS it replaced. They could really make the package complete if they shipped their lights with a few cool stickers. But yes, if you are looking for a great veg/flower light, this is it!

first of all this light is THE light for top notch grows and folks who want to truly give their plants the best gear and therefore the best chance at thriving through to harvest. the price is worth it ten fold, as you can't cut corners in the lighting department, and also when I finally experienced an issue I needed assistance with? spider farmer customer support was quick (and I mean quick) to respond to my inquiry. I was lucky enough to get Candy on amazons customer service team who specializes in this hardware. he reviewed the videos i provided of half the diodes being out at one time and randomly going on/off...he relayed instructions from the engineer he consulted and when I was absolutely sure I couldn't successfully execute the instructions (as Im not an engineer nor do I have engineer confidence to approach this machinery with a screwdriver lol) he then provided me my ideal resolution. he said ill get another identical one sent out to you immediately I know how important this is to your process and appreciate you choosing SF to get you through it. I had a new light within 4-5 days at no cost to me. the first photo I attached is the problem, second photo was the solution, and that was legit all thanks to candy from support. if having the best of the best in indoor grow lighting AND seamless unbeatable customer support means paying 550-650 to acquire? say no more, no question there. thank you amazon, thank you spider farmer, and thank you candy! you helped save the grow my friend! won't ever forget that, highly highly appreciated, even more highly recommended. don't skimp on this stuff, you can do that on grow bags and fans and nets and pest control & whatnot, but not on genetics, nutrients, and most of all; lighting! (again, killer customer service shoots this over the top, never underestimate the power of a CS rep who is wearing the same jersey as you, same team) be well, choose smart, and let it grow =)

Spider Farmer SF4000 light is top notch. Highly durable and perfect wattage for grow. Warranty for 5 years. I had my power supply ballast go out after 2 yrs. Of continuous use and customer service helped me replace it hassle free. Took about 2 weeks for the process and shipping. I can say to just be patient as it works out. Nolan went above and beyond with customer service.

Ich hab mit meiner Bewertung extra bis nach dem grow gewartet um eine möglichst ehrliche Bewertung abzugeben - die beworbenen 2.5g/W konnten wir (trocken) bei weitem nicht erreichen, aber ich muss auch direkt dazu sagen, dass wir total neu in diesem Gebiet sind und das unser erster richtiger Versuch (experiment) war! von daher denke ich, dass es noch viel Luft nach oben geben wird, mit entsprechendem know how ! Für unseren 3 Personen Haushalt ging die Rechnung jedoch trotzdem sehr zufriedenstellend und noch im oberen legalen Bereich auf, sodass glücklicherweise auch nix vernichtet werden musste :) wie gesagt es wird aber höchstwahrscheinlich hauptsächlich an uns gelegen haben und nicht an der Lampe! - zur Lampe kann ich nur sagen, das sie uns total zufrieden stellt! der Preis ist perfekt für Einsteiger und man kann super Ergebnisse erzielen! die blüten sind schön kompakt gewachsen , sehr harzig glänzend und potent ! Ein kleiner Nachteil könnte die Wärme der Lampe sein bei mir passt es samt luftentfeuchter Grad noch so mit der Temperatur (26°C) aber das wäre auch so der einzige (negative?) Punkt der mir als Laie aufgefallen ist abgesehen davon kann ich dieses Produkt nur jedem interessierten weiterempfehlen!👍🏻 Edit: die Temperatur kann man sehr gut runterkühlen indem man einen ventilator auf die Rückseite pusten lässt in meinem Fall konnte ich die Temperatur um ca 3-4 Grad senken bei ca 60% leistung und die Lampe wird es einem bestimmt auch danken 😅

This light is amazing. I have no complaints. It is very bright but is also compact and does not use a lot of electricity. I have managed to turn my sad tiny 3 month old capsicum windowsill plant into a mini tree that actually has fruit on it. My popcorn plant and mango trees are doing nicely as well. Thanks SF

The dimmer is a great feature, I'm running on 40 percent so there is so much room if I need more or less light! Covers a decent amount of area, absolutely zero noise, and very easy to use! Super happy with this! Important to note that it is extremely bright, and hurts to directly look at even on only 40 percent, so be mindful where you plan to put this!
