Rosewood Snuffle Forage Mat for Small Animals

My rabbit is a big chewer, so I was unsure whether the product would last longer than a day due to that. I have been impressed to find it is still intact a few weeks later, showing no signs of wear. This is either because 1. It’s designed in such a way material-wise that they don’t have any desire to chew it or 2. The material used can endure a certain level of nibbling. Chances are both apply to an extent, as my rabbit does like to chew some interesting items, even if they aren’t typically seen as ‘chewable’ to most rabbits, so if he has had a nibble the material is clearly tough enough that it’s not worth his time. On top of all this, he absolutely loves his snuffle mat, and now has his entire portion of pellets hidden in it alongside some meadow mix in the mornings. If I am slightly delayed in giving it to him he is actively looking for it, and it keeps him occupied in a semi-natural way as it encourages foraging for food rather than just being given it in an ordinary food bowl.

Rabbits enjoyed rummaging through when treats were hidden in. Not left with them unsupervised as I think they will chew it to bits. Good bit of fun for rabbits and keeps them occupied.

This is the most exciting thing I've bought in a long time. I never even considered a snuffle mat for a rabbit, but I have one for my dog and I've never seen this before. So far I've used it a few times and my bunny loves it!! Pros: - Really easy to hide various treats in. I've tried dried herbs, chocolate treats broken up, biscuit treats broken up. All work great - Rabbit loves it. He gets his nose right in there and it keeps him engaged and interested, he really enjoys it! - Easy to store and use. This is the issue with other boredom toys or games, you have to unpack them, build them or keep pieces together. This is all in one and easy to store and takes up no space - Strong felt material, it's withstanding biting and digging and has no damage yet and we all know how much rabbits like to dig - Nice stiff bits of felt for the rabbit to forage through so it's easier for them to push bits aside like thet would in the wild with grass (unlike the softer, flatter dog snuffle mats) - Lovely natural grassy colours! Cons: - None at all. Maybe just be weary of melty treats on a hot day given that it's made of fabric, but I'm sure you could hand wash it and it would stay together as it's very sturdy Overall I'm super impressed with this and it's great value too. I can't believe I've never seen this before - it's a total must for any buns; I completely recommend it as a boredom breaker and a bonding game for you and your rabbit. And it's something to get their brains going, and if they're indoor, a mimic of outdoor foraging too. Love it 100% and so does my boy!

Matt was as described and good quality felt - fairly small (A4 approx) and I think suited only to a run not to a cage. Our Syrian hamster is not that bothered by treats and this doesn’t really present much of a challenge for her - that said it looks quite nice in the run and gives her a different texture - who knows if hamsters care about that sort of thing though!

My rabbits love their snuffle mat. I’ve had around 6 months now and still like new. Goes nicely through the washing machine so easy to clean. Love to hide their nuggets or treats in for them to find, keeps them entertained. Only thing I have found is some of the tassels have come out but not many so this hasn’t been a major issue.

Good toy, encourages my guinea pigs to forage. Is difficult to clean old pieces of food out of the folds but the top brushes clean.

Great size, keeps my Rabbit entertained for ages, I hide his favorite treats in it and definitely helps the boredom and encourages foraging. Easy to wash, good quality. Better than I expected would recommend.

I bought this item as it seemed to be an appropriate size, well made, affordable, and not obnoxious looking. My skinny pigs love it! My 6yo knew what to do immediately, and my 1yo (who is timid) understood what to do as soon as he got over his hesitancy of a new object in their cage. Super fun for them and a solid purchase in my opinion. Good boredom buster!
