Universal Cooker Oven Rubber Door Seal

Despite being intended for use as an oven door seal, the rubber expands with heat. This caused two problems: (1) After the first use, the strips became loose and likely to come detached from the oven door, and (2) Even when they were still attached to the door, the expansion had made them about an inch too long to stay in a straight line, which meant it wasn't sealing the oven anymore because each side was bowing off into the opening instead of being where a seal should be.I was able to trim an extra inch off of each length, but it's a lot of extra work when the rubber shouldn't be expanding in the first place.That being said, I'm about to buy two more of these as replacements which will hopefully last me the rest of my time with this oven, because this is the only seal I've been able to find that even kinda fits. Even the aftermarket parts made for it aren't being manufactured anymore.

I have a very expensive Ilve nostalgia 90 and while waiting for the part from Italy I decided to use this. Perfect for repairing it and works great. Easy to install.

Old Sunray gas range needed oven door seal replacement. This fit about as good as one could hope. Measurements are a pain since they are metric but if you cut the pieces about 2/3 of the length you need, it will stretch just about right. You CAN get the corners back out if you work em off, but it's not ideal.

Before I ordered this I was confused about the symbol in the square. I wish someone had taken the time to take photos like I did. I wouldn't of ordered it. My oven is a duel oven from Sunray in the 1960's and this didn't fit the top oven which is what I needed it for. Rather disappointing.

Very easy and simple to install. Took me about 5-10 mins. Easy to understand instructions. To the idiots who gave bad reviews because they have rounded oven corners - it’s your own stupidity. Your reviews are not fair. You obviously did NOT read the description and order the correct one as they plainly stated in the description to make sure of before you order. Would 200% recommend and order again if needed. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Quality is fine but too thick not really suit all oven door

Had to trim off the inner triangular portion so it would be flatter allowing stove door to close. Easy to put together using their measurement guidelines, though some simple math is needed since directions are in metric (unless you have a tape measure with metric markings). Only giving 4 stars since delivery took a while, but it was technically within the window they quoted.

The media could not be loaded.  Recomiendo ponerla muy ajustada ya que tiende a aflojarse con el calor. La calidad del material es superior al original. Así que quede muy complacido.

The product is not universal and not four sided it is a strip of extruded rubber with four bits of sharp metal shaped as corners and barbed and with what seems to be a hook on each. There are several problems with it as follows: 1) The retailer is too lazy to have inserted an instruction sheet. 2) The product as delivered will not fit any oven door. 3) As I have the original oven seal I can see the corners are "set in" the extrusion; however after slitting the back and attempting to insert the metal in the back I found it impossible and the metal so sharp I could have cut myself. 4) I therefore tried to measure and then cut it into four lengths; however it does not say how or whether to mitre the joints (which would be a skilled job needing a jig. 4) After some study I decided to try and cut to length and insert the metal strips with the result that I discovered they are sharp and impossible to insert into the slot running the length of the extrusion. After some effort I gave up.This product is not universal in the following way 1) It does not fit any oven. 2) It is not universal in the sense that anyone can fit it: Only strong, skilled people would be able to do anything with it.I add that I trained in technology and was a skilled amateur car mechanic and general handyman.Unless you've used one of these seals before and have the correct tools and experience I suggest you don't even think about buying this item.The product should be taken off sale by all the suppliers on Amazon.

The existing oven seal (Belling) was in a very poor condition, and potentially a fire hazard. So I looked around to get a suitable replacement, and was really surprised to see this on Amazon. It's not quite the same as the existing seal, but I'm not sure that it was an original anyway.Although some people said they had issues fitting it, I found it a fairly straight forward process. I cut the rubber so that it is quite tight between the clips and that makes sure that it hangs straight. The clips went into the rubber quite sungly and fitted in the 4 holes without any issues.Once in place, the top part is just on the edge of the cavity; I think that the top two holes are a bit too low down, and I might just drill a couple more to lift the seal up about 1 cm.I think that at the price, it's a pretty good deal; and I would be happy to recommend it.

I have a Creda Europa Solar Plus double oven which is around 20 years old. The seals had deteriorated over the years and both ovens were taking an age to warm up, constistently losing heat making cooking a nightmare and they emitted smoke and smells when cooking.I had intended to replace the seals with Creda original parts but was loathe to pay the rediculous prices asked for them.I came accross these seals on Amazon and decided to give them a try. I bought 2, 1 for each oven and they arrived within 2 day on free P&P.Within 30 minutes I had fitted both seals to the ovens. Curious about their effectiveness I heated both ovens to maximum temperate (220C) and left them on all day to self clean and to see how the seals performed.Result: BRILLIANT! Perfect seal, no more smells or smoke and food now cooks in half the time. I do a lot of cooking & grilling at very high temperatures and these seals have been fitted for over a month now and are still like new.Excellent product, quick and easy to fit and now my ovens work like new.
