The ports on the DVR box do allow for POE, however, only 4 ports are fully POE capable. The remaining ports on it allow for the remaining 4 IP Cameras, but, you must have a source of power nearby ran to the Camera using the power port provided on the IP camera.Also : You can capture video on the Cameras with a resolution of 3840x2160 but at ONLY 20 FPS.To get 30 FPS you have to drop to a resolution of 2592x1944.Other than those details that I found out by owning the system, this thing is amazing. Great Clarity and the Night vision is absolutely wonderful. Navigation of the system is easy. Note: if one of your cameras goes blank and is not functional, do a system settings factory reset. I spent 2 hours trying different ways to get it running again but found out i changed a setting which the camera did not like.Enjoy this product, it is great.

I have purchased two of these systems because when the first system developed a rather specific, unique problem I was unable to get a customer service response to a simple request. Now that I know what to test for I checked the new unit and it had the same problem out of the box. Back it went!

3 of my camera's stop working and i cant get ahold of customer service to replace them, even thou i bought the warranty policy and the camera's are less than 6 months old

One of the cameras night vision did not work. Frustrated because the cameras are very high up and I have to go back up there to remove and replace.

I never had a surveillance system before and trying to make a decision was very unnerving (especially buying it blindly online). I needed to buy a few extra things for setup.Pros:*Cameras seen durable and well made*picture is pretty clear*simple to set up and operate*no problems with the app from my android*night vision was not great but average*packaging was pretty protective*price was descent for what you getCons:*the pictures are misleading, I was under the impression that there would not be any red lights on the camera at night. I understand it needs something to light up the screen but the pictures showed no lights at all in the description.*the 65 ft ethernet cables sound long enough but I found that I needed about 20 ft more on 2 cameras so I had to go buy more. The equipped cable was adequate but the store bought cable was a little thicker and stronger*the peices to make this waterproof did not go together well at all and make me question how well it would protect from weather* the instructions require silica gel but it's not included* they place other reviews with this one. One of the reviews claimed this was corded and/or wireless as well. This is not a true statement.Overall, the system itself is not bad at all For the price, I dont think I went wrong. Picture is good, quality is good. Great choice for first surveillance system for the price. Only other option that may have been nice was the cameras that could rotate any direction but those cost alot more.

The first unit that we received had issues connecting to the cameras but the replacement unit was spot on. The 4K video is awesome and detailed enough to read a windshield sticker from about 40 feet and you can easily identify faces from 75 or more. Great unit for the price.

I bought this system and flailed thru setting it up. The book it included was not for the version of software that is out now. Not great. Apparently one of the cameras was set to some unknown password. I can't see it now thru the NVR and have tried to contact them several times to help me to fix it to no avail. And it beeps annoyingly for a while whenever I try to do anything in the software. I just hooked up another camera and the software doesn't see it. Useless. The one camera looked nice when I momentarily had it working. I can't recommend this. I am an IT person, by the way and by no means technically challenged. Wasted $
