MyChelle Dermaceuticals Perfect C™ Serum - 17%

I use the Perfect C Serum along with other MyChelle skincare products. At first I wasn't sure that I would continue with it, but I quickly noticed a difference after I stopped using the C Serum. I easily go through one bottle a month (if I'm lucky!) so, at $30 a pop, it's just as expensive as the high end C-serum lines. Still, I love the non-toxic MyChelle products and have found that they're as effective as they claim to be. And even though I'm now putting more serums and lotions on my face than ever before, my skin is not breaking out which was an unexpected, and welcome, bonus. Another bonus is that the MyChelle line smells great, not perfumey, but honest-to-goodness yummy. The one negative, in my opinion, is the C Serum packaging. It would be nice if they sold a larger size with a better dispensing mechanism. The calibrated pump doesn't always dispense a full application and it stops working before the bottle is empty. I've taken to undoing and replacing the cap which seems to help as the bottle gets low. Towards the end, I just shake out as much of the remnants as I can. This stuff isn't cheap so I try to get every last bit of it! Best deals: So far, I've found that Amazon is the best place to buy MyChelle. Their prices are consistently lower than average. You can also get deals on eBay, but you have to work (snipe) for them. MyChelle does not supply expiration dates (they are supposed to be good for 18 to 24 months from purchase), so I prefer to buy from a reputable source. The MyChelle website does have a really good sale every now and then so, if you like her products, you may want to get on the email list. About me: I am a 48-year old grandmother of three and in the past three months, since I began using the MyChelle line, I've been carded twice and have received numerous compliments about my "glowing" complexion. I followed the suggestions on the MyChelle website and I'm using the Mychelle Honeydew Cleanser, 4.4 Fl oz (130 ml) (Pack of 2) , Mychelle Firming Serum, Serious Hyaluronic, 30 ml , Mychelle Supreme Polypeptide Cream, With Matrixyl 3000 And Marine Polypeptides, Unscented, 1.2 Fl oz , Mychelle Deep Repair Cream, 1.2 Fl oz (AM), Mychelle Night Cream, Revitalizing, 30 ml (PM) and Mychelle Fruit Enzyme Mist, 4.4 Fl oz (130 ml) . (I do not have any training in cosmetics or skincare so my opinions are just that: opinions.)

Love this stuff, I don't really know how to pinpoint it - but it definitely makes my skin look younger, fresher, more healthy. When I run out and get lazy about restocking it - after a week or so I definitely see the difference. I will look in the mirror and say 'why does my skin look like crap?!" and then realize that this stuff was really the biz-ness so to speak. I like to use it after a home-spa-day, which is usually nothing more than a homemade activated charcoal/aztec clay/ACV mask (those are great btw, especially at fading acne scars and dark spots - and I feel this serum compliments and helps maintain those results in addition to it's other benifits). When I put this on afterwards, I can definitely feel a little sting, but I kind of like it because i know my pores are really soaking it up. Occasionally i feel a little sting after just a regular face wash. Nothing to crazy, it goes away after a couple seconds. It's kind of pricey for the amount you get - but I keep coming back to it. if you use it once a day, only using one pump it will NOT last 90 days (I think that's what the sellers claim in the QA section) It will last you about 30-40 days tops. It's always so sad to get to the last pump - you wonder how it came so soon. If I could find an equivalent product that gave you a better quantity for the price I would switch, but so far I haven't.

For such a small bottle/high cost, you’d think the delivery mechanism would work well, but it doesn’t. The product comes out the spout, but it also comes out from all sides of the pump, so a massive amount of product gets wasted. Perhaps that’s their goal? Wish they knew that customers do NOT appreciate that. I would not recommend this product in this current packaging. Editing review to add: I purchased AGAIN thinking it would be a one-off broken bottle I got, but no the same thing happened. So I will not recommend a product whose company does not care about customer reviews and never follows up to acknowledge the problem, though that likely just solidifies that they’re aware and do not care. Buyer BEWARE.

Although I know the price tag is a little high for a product so small, if you compare to other quality vitamin C serums, this one is quite reasonable. The packaging is good, because you can twist the lid off to get out every bit of product, and the dispenser does not squirt out too much. I use the serum for preventive maintenance against oxidation and sun damage. This product offers a higher percentage of L-Ascorbic acid than many serums. Ascorbic is what you want in a C serum, and the higher the percentage, the more effective (and therefore more pricey) the item is. So again, when comparing against competing products, MyChelle is a winner. If you have sensitive skin, you -might- feel a slight burn when you apply, since it is after all an acid. I've never found it uncomfortable myself, but I have very tolerant skin. There's no unpleasant smell, and MyChelle does not fill their products with a bunch of nasty dyes, parabens, and other preservatives. Bottom line, I highly recommend.

I've been using this product for a year. I saw immediate results when I began to use this. It has strong scent but it's ok with me. The scent smells natural. The only complaint I have is the bottle. The pump didn't work after only half of it was used. I have to open it and pour a little on my palm every time. This would speed up the oxidation process. I am thinking about switching to another C-serum product because, not only the bottle drove me nuts but also I want to take a break from the same product.

I first got this serum from Sprouts in Colorado. It was recommended to me by the person who worked in the beauty section. I noticed a huge difference in my skin. I have dry skin so it helped with moisture and because it’s slightly sticky, I noticed my makeup over it even looked good. I got tons of compliments on my skin and when I stopped using it for a few months (because it’s expensive and only lasts a month) I did notice my skin change for the worse. It was more expensive at Sprouts, I believe around $35 and when I found here for less, that’s what made me purchase it again. This is my holy grail serum and I will continue to buy it over and over again as long as the price doesn’t go up. I started using this serum about a year and a half ago and it really seemed to help control my acne. There were a couple of times when I ran out and, while waiting for the next bottle to arrive, my skin would flare up. However, it seems that the formula changed and I now get allergic bumps all over my forehead when I use it. Other MyChelle products ( MyChelle White Cranberry Cleanser, 4.4-Ounce Bottle (Pack of 2) and MyChelle Clear Skin Serum, 1-Ounce Bottle ) still work great for my sensitive skin, but be wary of this one.

The serum itself is great. I use as directed in the morning before moisturizer and makeup, and it helps keep my skin less oily. I’ve had very few breakouts since I started using it, and my skin’s texture seems to be improving. One bottle lasted me about a month. Here’s why this only gets 3 stars. The packaging, as others have said, is terrible. The pump gets clogged with product and only works about half the time. It dispenses either too much or barely anything, and I had to return my second bottle because it leaked all over the place during shipping.
